That was all kinds of fun. Junkman was talking smack about us C5's not being able to hold the turns... Not true, we could have easily kept our foot in it around the corners but then all of us would have been going way faster than the paced 80mph. I would have gone even faster but I would have passed cars and we were told that anyone caught speeding would have been told to leave. Seeing that a few got to 120+ mph, I don't think they were watching all that well.

The problem with the speeding thing was the radar guns they had. We were watching the first group and the speed guns were clocking them at 50-60 mph when we knew they were well over 80. I wasn't worried about speeding at that point. Also, the rules noted that passing was allowed, except for the pace car. I stayed in line and enjoyed the tour on the first set of laps. On second set of laps I decided to have a bit more fun and see what the car would do on the track and take advantage of the opportunity. Second set of laps was so much more fun.

It was a great event and look forward to possibly doing it again next year. Only thing that would have been better was track time alone....no other cars.

It was a fantastic time. My 8 year old is still talking about it and asking when we can do it again. Here's a couple of photos from the starting grid

This was a very fun event. I did not realize we were aloud to pass like that. Next time I am getting in the back like Junkman and going for some fun. If we all decide to try that, we could end up having a heck of a challenge out there. I hit speeds of 120+ a few times but always backed off when I got onto the rear of several cars in front of me and then I would slow down and open a gap back up to play again.

If you watch Toyaholic's video, you'll hear him saying that I am about to pass and then you'll see me and a Camaro go by starting at the 1:00 mark. Whoever was driving that Camaro was trying to stay with my azz the whole time! He was good!

I posted the notice in the other cars section of the forum. That's also where I posted my videos too. How did you miss it?

Hey guys, you know I have nothing but LOVE for the C5's! After all, I was in a C5 too (5th generation Corvette)!

Let's face it, those turns will make your balls shrink up and go for cover! I busted my cherry on them 2 years ago. This was my 3rd year so I'm use to them. There is no shame in backing off on those turns. As a matter of fact, here's the video of my first time ever going around. On the first turn, I totally bitch out. I sounded like a six year old school girl!
