Anyone interested in Autocross? We have a race on Sunday the 24th. I'm planning to run my 2010 as my normal autocross car is in the shop awaiting a new tranny. I don't expect much from the 2010 but it's fun just being able to drive the car at the limit.

Let us know how you do. I need to finish installing 2 of 3 rear diff bushings on saturday. Figured replace the trailing and toe rod arms at the same time since I need to remove rear parts anyway. Trying the AAC cree led reverse lamp replacements. Maybe I'll try in Nov or dec depending on my next mod.

Still replacing your front bumper? PM me if you want to get rid of parts.

Yes, will be changing the front before year end. I will let you know as soon as it's in the shop. Shounds like you're going for a complete rear upgrade. You have to try in on the course when it's done. Anybody else?

i haven't been to any car shows recently but word is, there is a new yellow camaro ss roaming the streets with a supercharger with cali plates. Apparently he or she's been street racing with underglows.

What exactly is autocross? i hear its sponsored by SCCA and its held once a month?

With football, house/yard crap, family, and remaining time for mods, weekends are getting tight. I'm trying to hold the next cars and coffee Saturday for cruise time.

2nd sat in November at ala moana. If anyones interested, my halltech cai will be up for sale soon. Finishing suspension work first. Also, got an extra foam spray gun for washing cars. When I'm finished, I have the rear diff bushing puller tool. Makes replacing the bushing easier, but still a PITA.

Autocross is designed for car handling skills. Course is set up via the use of orange cones and held in the lower lot at Aloha Stadium. The course changes each event. Every car is placed in a class according to mods. There is a stock category. You'll see Honda Fits, Miatas, Subarus, Mustangs, Camaros, Minis, Corvettes, Porsche, BMWs, Lotus, GTRs, etc. Practically any car has probably been out at one time. Some very stock (absolutely no mods) to full mods. It is a blast. You probably only use 1 or 2 gears, learn to use your brakes, and will do a bit of sliding. Course takes 30-40 secs. And turns can be up to 180 degrees. Check out sccahawaii.org for more information and pictures. It really hard to explain the rush you get from driving the course. It looks easy but its not.

I'll be there this Sunday running I believe in the last heat (about 2 pm). Will probably be the only time I run the 2010. I usually run the 2000 Z28. Check it out if you have time.

Doubtful I can make it. Really bad week for me, so probably be recovering, especially since its a long day. If feeling well, might stop by to say hi.

Feeling better.

Yep, rims mounted but havent gotten out to get a picture of them to send out. Plus cars pretty dirty from all the rain. Ordered OEM size wheelset, but received them about 1/2 - 1 inch wider than stock. Still looks good with the stock wheels, but gives me an option to go wider once I wear out these PZeros.
