I don't want to be the one to possibly burst your bubble without some definite confirmation- Hello CamaroScotty ?- but my understanding is that your dealer, and every other dealer will be getting a V6 Camaro that doesn't count against their allocation. After that, the dealer must order a V6 as part of their allocation. If your dealer only has one allocation, I sure hope you ordered a V6...

Do not take what I wrote as the Gospel truth unless someone here confirms it...

I can't get mine until Jan. 2009 anyway so I'm just amped to see one of yours. I was conditioning and washing my IS 350 and my wife called me and asked what I was doing and I simply said "PRACTICING"
Thats funny, cause I have been doing the same thing to my

I sure hope you're right. I want a V6, and so far my dealer has pre-ordered ALL v8's, and actually has exceeded their allocation.
So with that being said, if I were to order one, I would be outside the allocation, but since I'm getting a V6 -- I just might get it in May?

If I wanted to wait to walk in and buy an SS of the lot, how long do you think I'll wait? I'm waiting til January 2010 anyway. Probably still order one the with the options I want but would be cool to test drive a V8 when I do.

So if I'm the first to order a V-6 (as I was) I should be at the top of the list based on what we've recently found out?

Sounds like you'll be driving down the road in your Camaro in about mid May. Just don't rub it in too much.

Yeah...that's not going to happen. The V8 will be marked up for years.

NO!

Each dealer will get a V6- - if your dealer had an allocation of one -- it has nothing to do with the V6 that we'll ship him/her -- so your V8 is safe.

Right! The guy at the Dodge dealership told me the same thing. "Oh it may be a few years before this car goes at sticker" (they were asking 52k. 10k over sticker) 4 months later they were at sticker and willing to deal.
