If you want to compare prices, compare a 1LT to a 1SS and a 2LT to a 2SS - if you
find a 2SS for the cost someone paid for their 2LT, then call them crazy.
the only question i get asked is, do you have a v8... not do you have leather seats or upgraded audio ( which i do ) but you get the point ... the v8 is such a impressive car... i bet if you toke all of the 2lt people here and gave them a ride in a 1ss and then a ride in there car and said pick one for the same price... i bet more would pick the SS

Same here. The next 2 most popular questions are 'Is it stock?' and 'Stick or auto?'

They would never pick yours over their's. They might go quietly and trade their's in on an SS, like it seems like many V-6 guys and gals are doing ,but they would never admit that yours is somehow better just because it has a V-8.

present day as in GT to GT500 and RT to SRT8
Not talking about the old times, that was a huge debate her a few years ago

Yours , a new one , mine , that doesn't matter. My point is they're most likely not going to admit that the V-8 is better than they're V-6 until they go and buy a v-8.

I could mod a V6 to beat your SS, You can mod an SS to beat the Z, you can also mod a shitty civic to beat em all. Whats your point? On the topic of classifiying a vehicle, a V6 will always be less of a car as the SS, as the same goes for the SS in terms of the Z28. Reguardless as to what is faster. Going back to the topic, the V6 is not a muscle car because it doesnt have an v8.
Honestly, i wont be surpirsed here if members start posting pics of there Junk next to there camaro just to see whose dick is bigger.
Well, that depends. Is the Z28 simply going to be a supercharged LS3 with some additional badging? The difference in you comparing the V6 and the V8 and comparing the SS and the (potential) Z28 is that, in all probability, the Z28 and the SS will have the same basic motor. If that turns out to be the case, then I don't think your argument that a modded SS is "less than" a stock Z28 is a valid one. I mean, for what is likely going to be the difference in price one will probably be able to far surpass the Z28 in terms of power, so now you're arguing over badging and potentially a paint job.

If, and I say "if" because the Z has been on and off for the past 2-3 years, but if they do put it into production it is going to be on the lines of the GT-500, limited and marked up like crazy.

True, I got hammered in one thread for suggesting that most people get the V6 for economical reasons (duh). Many of them would not admit it, and got butt-hurt to the point that they were taking that simple statement as my suggesting that they couldn't afford a V8, which I never said. Silly.

I personally don't care what someone else buys, but I wouldn't buy a full-size anything with a V6. I've had this discussion before with friends of mine that would go get every bell and whistle on a V6 F150 or Silverado, and then complain when they couldn't sell the damned thing because no one wants a used truck with a piddly little V6. Yeah, it's a little different with cars, but V8s still hold their value better.

Yeah, who'd want an auto in a muscle car????

Seriously, though, I wouldn't want a vette. Visually they have never appealed to me.

Thanks! Yeah I get lots of compliments on the color...I think it just a little too teal for some in darker lighting or in the shade, but I really don't think I could give it up for any other color. To me, in the sun, it is strikingly beautiful.
