Anyone know how to contact GM about getting my payment paid? Would you happen to know Blur?

I feel like I don't even own a Camaro anymore to be honest....When I get it back its going to be a new car all over again.

Pardon my sarcasm. But, these are machines. They are designed by humans, they are built by humans, they are transported by humans, they are sold by humans, they are bought by humans, they are maintained by humans, they are operated by humans.

Get real here, you can throw in all the computer technology you want. But the bottomline is they are machines. They are not without fault. I don't care if it is a Bugatti, Chrysler, Ferrari, Cadillac, Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Hyundail, or whatever...

You get it fixed. The Manufacturer made an agreement with you the day your purchased the car.

It really makes no matter, whether you have a rebuilt motor or a replacement motor, you will still have your five year - 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty. probably extended to cover the difference form the original date of purchase.

I am sorry for the rant, here. But, to me this is just becoming another example of people demanding unrealistic compensation beyond the terms they agreed to when they purchased the car. It is one of the reasons why prices escalate so rapidly over time.

At the price point for these cars, you are getting a damn good vehicle that looks great and has pretty decent performance.

To the O.P. I feel bad about the problems you are having. I went through it when my Tranmission oil cooler split. But, I was patient, and worked through it. Do what you need to to get the car fixed. If not able to do so, then pursue the proper course for resolution.

Basically, do the right thing.
this is the kind of thinking that got gm where it was in the first place.

Just to add to the case, after reading this post I went to check my car's oil (4000 mi since last oil change) and my car's oil was down to the 1/4 notch on the dipstick!

I immediately threw in a quart (as I was at a gas station). Today, I took my car in to the dealership for an oil change. I mentioned the issue to the guy briefly and he said that the oil filter could be leaking. To which I said there was no oil present where I park my car, to which he said there is a panel underneath that could be trapping the oil 1. NO THERE ISNT A PANEL!! and 2 if there was, to be down to a 1/4 on the dipstick means I have eaten over 2-3 quarts of oil ( I THINK THAT PANEL WOULD BE FULL)

So in short, thank you for bringing this to light, bc I'm now watching my car to see if problems develop - it just sucks the service tech is such an idiot too.

I'd like at least two or three total out of the list, I don't expect to get all of them but it would be nice.

1.) I want my car payment paid this past month.
2.) xx amount of free oil changes good at any dealership
3.) One Camaro accessory of my choice (exhaust/car cover/lip kit etc)
4.) Refunded the difference in value from my car with a rebuilt motor and a new motor.

Still no word on the car...
Does not hurt to ask, but I do not understand #4. Your car had a used motor. The used motor failed under warranty. Putting a remanufactured motor in with original warranty intact does not devalue the car.

I have received the free oil change at any GM dealer when my Colorado had engine trouble under warranty in the first 1200 miles. I asked to speak to the GM rep, after speaking with him we agreed that was the best way to handle the issue.

They basically were tracking any other problems with my truck by having me bring it to a dealer for the free oil change. They always asked me questions about the vehicle and if there were any problems.

I traded the truck in with 65,000 miles for my Camaro. I let the dealership know about the agreement with GM and they verified it with their Rep. they are continuing to honor it with my new Camaro.

GM is top notch in my book. Ask for the oil changes for life so they can monitor your car and you can smile about it. Probably saved me more than a single car payment since 2006.

After reading the responses to my last posts about how absurd it is for GM to only offer to rebuild and not completely replace the engine, it's obvious many of you are either too young or have amnesia.

How many iron duke 4 cylinder engines, HT4100 V8 engines, or even the LD series Quad 4 engines did GM have to replace because of severe problems with those engine at low mileage use? Countless.

My point here is that GM can NOT afford to cut corners on customer service and product quality now. Many people still have nightmares about their cars equipped with those engines, and they now today drive BMWs, Lexus', Hondas, Toyotas, and MBs and won't even step foot into any GM dealer. Ever. For any reason. Again.

2 out of 160,000 or whatever the number is for failures of the 3.6 may seem like nothing.

Try telling that to people like my Uncle who swore off GM completely and now has nothing but Japanese cars in his garage. If GM gave him a car for free, if he won a GM vehicle on Price is Right, he'd turn around and sell it before he even drove it. Even if it was a Corvette.

I think GM needs pictures of old Vegas, early 1980s Eldorados, Buick Skylarks, Chevy Berettas, and other failures plastered all over the board room and the CEO's office at the Renaissance Center. And over every assembly line worker's workstation at every plant. As constant reminders of how the company was two millimeters away from complete implosion and had to downsize by almost one half AND take a loan from the government to stay alive.

Lol no car today either...friday marks 37 DAYS in the shop! If I don't get it back by then my patience will have been pushed to the max and I'll resort to legal action. I've waited 35 days and I've been INCREDIBLY patient, in fact probably more than I should be.

Has the service manager even attempted to contact you? I have over 20K on mine and I DRIVE it. Good luck with this. I am following it closly. We had 2 that I know of in the local area do about the same thing and they got new replacement engines. I will try to find out if they were rebuilt or not.

Do you really think that had this happened with any other brand of mass produced automobile you would be treated any differently.

I am sorry, but that just isn't realistic. Any manufacturer provides the purchaser with a well detailed and fully fleshed out warranty. The Camaro, for better or worse, is not a Big High Rolling hand built automobile. This isn't a Ferrari or car of similar ilk.

If you believe that is what you are getting with a vehicle at this price point, you need to reconsider your perception.

Good heavens, to do business in North America, the manufacturers are bound to honoring these warrantees, which are a contract between the buyer and the manufacturer.

A lot of what I am reading in this thread is a lot of bluster. I won't amplify that by adding adjectives which could be misconstrued for various reasons.

As has been said, it is good to hear how to go through the process of making the problems right. But I would caution my fellow Camaro owners to put it in a proper perspective.

Is it something we like going through. heck no, I can fully understand the frustration. But it has to be kept in proper focus here.

Granted we are pretty much a hardcore group of fanatics here. (except for the occasional trolls).

It is a Camaro. Not a mega mobile costing gazillions of dollars.
