What all is in stage 2? I ask because my v6 car runs with, and beats if he misses a shift, a Neon SRT 4 with intake, exhaust and stage 1 tuning. If he drives perfect, he gets me by about .07-.1, or almost a car length to a car length.

If stage 2 includes upgraded intercooler/turbo, then you'll be in for a race. Otherwise, I think you'll get him.

If the SRT-4 is tweaked, then it is no contest. I see some run 11's on a regular basis, but a few in the 9's. Just like Supras, WRX's, EVO's & Cobalts. I have built several that are unreal quick. The weight advantage is hard to overcome even with massive HP. 2 totally different classes of cars though, so not a good comparison.

Here's some basic numbers, not to be taken as gospel. So, figure a bone stock SRT 4 is underrated at 230bhp, add stage II for the OP, and it's now an underrated 265bhp, probably closer to 300 from what I gather. I think the LS3 gets it, but it'll be a race. Add stage III, and the LS3 is looking at tailights.

BTW, and off topic, thanks for the pm. Check your box, another one is enroute, lol.

If a regualr mopar stage two with boltons and no other source of tune, if you can drive, you win. Watch out if it's an aftermarket tuning source with bolts and a stage two base. Some are right around 110mph trap cars, and some are even upwards of 115 traps stock turbo.

These cars come from the factory putting 230 down on the dump. I'm a former owner and believe me...these cars are beasts. Just wondering if anyone here has had a run in with them and have a story to tell.

every 100#'s of weight is 1/10th of a second in the quarter mile for most door cars.

if its just stage 2, you probably should/will win.

However, my SRT had a stage 2 computer, pair'd with a fully built engine and GT35R turbo making 637hp on a 2800lb car, if you want to outrun that, better bring some upper 130's trap speeds with you.

Its because of that car that I tend to post how slow my Camaro is, that car whips my twin turbo mid 11 second GTO..

But the biggest problem those cars have is traction issues.

I own an SRT-4, and it's a quick car (althought it's "only" a Stage One). If you're running from the line, you'll probably come out ahead. If it's from a 40-50 mph roll, it could be a different story -- because traction won't be an issue. Don't take this car lightly...

Agreed. . .I had a Stage 1 str4 also. . . great car but not very comfortable at all. . . Very harsh ride with the lowering springs I had in it also.

very quick car.
