Adams detail spray and claybarring
I never claybarred before but have watched Junmans videos and it seems easy. MY question is, would 1 bottle of detail spray be enough for the entire car? I know you need to continuously saturate the clay and vehicle so it doesnt stick so it seems like a lot of spray gets used.

Don't use the good stuff for claying. Go pick yourself up Mother's clay bar kit at Walmart. It comes with a cheap detail spray which will work just fine for claying. I save my Adam's for when I'm using it for show.
To answer your question though, one bottle has always been enough for me. Leave the car wet after your Dawn wash, this will make less detail spray necessary because the car's already wet.

Depending on the size of the bottle. I reg size bottle will last for several times doing the entire car.

It depends on how nasty your paint is. If it has a ton of dirt stuck into the paint then it may take more detail spray. If you can clean it up in just a few swipes then 1 bottle may be enough. I have never used the Mothers but I have used the Adams and Meguires, and the Adams is a much harder clay. The harder the clay the more the clay does the work for you with less pressure.

It took me exactly one full bottle to clay my camaro...I dont spray it on as heavy as junkman, there is no need to waste all that product. I used about the same amount as Adam on his videos..

I mix a solution of car wash (Z7) with water in a spray bottle and use that. Works great and is much more cost effective than using detail spray.

I used a whole bottle to do mine. I may have wasted some. But I wanted to be sure the paint was lubricated.

Me too. Any quality car wash soap + water mix in a spray bottle will do.

A whole bottle is overkill... remember, you don't want to "saturate" the bar, you want enough to allow the bar to glide, but not so much that it isn't making contact with the paint.
