Keep it under 10 and you'll be ok. That should get you over the 500 rwhp you want. |

One of the shops kept increaseing the boost till it autoshortened the rods and I think it was at 17 PSI. I'm thinking he even took it out and beat on it at the increasing boost levels. After the autoshortening, he ONLY put another set of OEM rods in and ran it at low teens boost without a problem. That's not to say that i'd slap a SC on and pulley it up to 15 PSI but I think it shows the leaway we really have. As has been said a bazillion times before, it's all in the tune.

I see that english is a foreign object here.
As far as boost on the L99 I think i remember the mention of not going over 9psi for extended periods of time with everything stock.

A 1/2 atmosphere of boost (7.5 psi) is a safe place to be.

With Turbo's I'd have no problem running 10lbs with the temptation to run 12-14lbs.This is when precise tuning comes in. |

The higher the boost the bigger the boom !!!
You should be able to run forever with single digit boost if you don't lean out. When you start testing double digits you may have problems unless you have a great tuner (of which there are many on this site) |
