i look at this beautiful car and i would worried if it didn't have the top on the line performances mods. these headers a way less the then best/better ones, that flags a huge flag for me.... in my past experiences i have learned never take the cheap way out.. if i didn't want to spend money and get kooks and a dyno tune.. they i am not getting headers at all.

this car just came out thats why everything is a littler higher for mods ...

Ebay headers are what $425 shipped? Kooks Catted Mids are ~$420 shipped. That is like $845. At that point your a few hundred from having Kooks.

A few hundred would buy a couple or three cheeseburgers.

Are you angry that you overspent on your Kooks and that is why you keep posting in here...or are you being paid on the side by Maryland Speed for your endorsement? Just wondering. We OBX owners didn't clutter up YOUR Kooks thread with crappy attitude. In fact not one of the OBX owners on this site posted in your thread complaining about how high Kooks prices are, nor did we post in there to remind people there is a cheaper alternative. RESPECT dude. How about giving US some?

you will never see somebody knocking kooks headers let me tell you.

you really think i am mad over on my headers,, really?? i have a corsa exhaust also (1200$) is that over priced for you too???? because trust me nobody can do what they can do (no drone plus great sound) ... i bet 95% of the members would love to have a corsa or kooks setup .... that why they are the most money, there the most wanted

And?

Here I was tying to be civil in this thread?

Want to talk value and bang for the buck? A new Camaro SS costs what $35K? For $25K you can buy a 4th gen and make it faster than 90% of the new Camaro's on this board. Want to take the argument further, a V6 Camaro is a way better "value" than a V8. I mean $10K for basically a V8 and brembo brakes?

I know..this argument is pretty dumb isn't it? Wanna know what's really dumb? Every time I calmly point out something that might make the ebay headers not look like the "OMG value" some people want to proclaim them to be, it turns into a poor mouth argument. Like I am somehow taking food out of staving kids mouths by suggesting you mod your car with quality parts. Get over it. You decided your wallet is more important than quality. Stop acting like your smarter than the next person for saving a few bucks buying knock off headers and crying everytime someone suggests that may not be the way to go.

You and a few other people are pimping these headers so feverishly you should be on someones payroll...no different than anyone who is saying they might not be a good choice. It's a two way street. The product has obvious advantages and disadvantages, and they should be discussed. For instance I have explained over and over again why a Kooks header costs more than these. There is a big overhead difference between knocking of headers in China and selling them on ebay compared to running a real US based manufactuering and R&D operation. Yet every thread I still see posts wondering why Kooks are so expensive compared to these?

I have been doing this for a long time now, and I have always been amazed how people will put rusty uncoated Pacesetters on there car, and then drop $1,000 on a stainless exhaust because it has a "sound they want". But ultimatly it's the customers money...I will sell you whatever you want..but if you ask my opinion I will give it.

Once again.....And?

Kooks does not manufactuer the cats, but they have a two year warranty. They would be replaced as long as it was not caused by a tuning issue. Realistically however cats are not ideal for that application. I don't know of many cats that are gonna last on a 10 second supercharged car that is drag raced. That setup generates a lot of heat and will melt most cats.
