Being that I'm going to see you in a little over a week, I'm sure I'll be telling you about the drive from Redding to Eureka...very cool drive.

We got the same room/cabin in the picture above. Even if the weather goes bad we're still going. It will be in the Jimmy instead.

Meet at Port Gamble Saturday 10/30 Arrive between 8 and 9AM. Leave by 9 and head over the Hood Canal Floating bridge. Its a 3-4 hour drive straight to Lake Quinault. As far as stops. I was hoping to get some feedback on that. Some good places for photos are Lake Crescent and Rialto Beach. Plus lots of places along the coast to stop and take pics once we reach Kalaloch. Here are a couple of maps. One of Kitsap County which shows where Port Gamble is and a another map that shows the general area between Seattle and the Coast.

Ruby Beach, which is the first park you'll see when 101 hits the west coast.

by the looks of the weather its going to pour on you guys. make sure you keep an ear out on the weather reports.
if they have high wind warnings in that area there may very well be power outages & trees on the roads.

remember I use to live up there.

May do a trip like that again on mothers day weekend like our family did this year.

If the weather is bad we will head out in the Jimmy. A little rain won't keep us at home. In fact I love the coast during a killer storm. But, hopefully it will be tolerable and we can get out in the Camaro. Haven't driven it since we got back from Montana.
