What's the big effin' hairy deal? The 2010 Camaro SS and LT were faster than 2010 Mustangs. Ford upped the ante in 2011, and if you option both V8 and V6 optimally, the Mustangs are faster. So what?! Rock on, pony car wars! We win either way!

Chevy will then up their power as well. Dodge too. Then Ford strikes. It keeps going!

Hmmm...last time I checked this was a Camaro Forum and not the editorial section for High Times magazine. All this whining about whose faster?

I am willing to bet that some of you in this forum weren't around in the 1960's and early 70's when muscle cars were abundant. Then came post Vietnam and gas crunch, 55 MPH Max speedlimits and out came the Vega, Pinto, and AMC Pacer just to name a few of the stellar offerings!

My humble opinion for what it is worth... CELEBRATE that we finally have some decent iron running down the roads again regardless of whether it is Mopar, Ford or GM as the parents! We can all hold our heads up high if we happen to own one of these modern marvels in these rough economic times! I am off my soapbox now and going back into a stupor.

doesn't make his post any less credible and actually from reading everyone elses post it would be the other way around. As stated im just a casual owner I don't get into the every aspect of handing and weigh distro but from reading the reviews and the stats on paper the mustangs "looks" to outperform the camaro stock vs stock however would that make me drive a mustang?, but would I hate on them and disregard facts? no

I test drove a 2011 3.7L Mustang(3.31 rear) and a 2011 3.6L Camaro.. the Mustang surely has the edge,probably due to weight issues on the Camaro being soo heavy..so i wound up buying a 2011 Camaro 1ss, since i have always been a Chevy fan..I have to say, the 3.7L Mustang surely beats the 3.6L Camaro..

Well said. Honestly, the 2010 the Camaro was faster than the Mustang. 2011 the Mustang is slightly faster than the Camaro. Hopefully in 2012 the Camaro is slightly faster than the Mustang so that Ford has to up the Mustangs power. Do y'all not realize that this competition is what makes the Mustang and Camaro rivalry so great? Without the 2010 Camaro the Mustang would still have 300hp, but without the original Mustang there would be no Camaro. Quit being so biased and just enjoy the horsepower war while it lasts.
