Smile Defenderworx Shifter Knob

Hey folks - I'm thinking of installing the Defenderworx shifter knob for my for automatic shifter. Has anybody installed one and how difficult is it? Also thinking about the OEM engine cover in red jewelcoat - any comments?

I'd appreciate the feedback!

Engine cover will look great in redjewel!!! Look for some chrome or other painted parts to bring it all togather like this!!!!!

Thanks guys! I'm debating between the chrome or the black shifter. My baby has black cloth interior. Any suggestions? By the way - your rides look beautiful. I'm thinking about some chrome accents under the hood. Still undecided about whether to rally stripe "Junior". The red jewelcoat seems to hold up on it's own, but stripes are classic old school.

I have the black leather interior and went with the Chrome shifter. Really sets it off!

I have it on mine also. One recommendation. Instal the base. put the spring first the the handle over. in that order. I had problems not being able to take my key out of the ignition when parked. Not sure why but that solved the problem.

I agree. Had the same problem with mine. Some how the spring didn't line up completely till I took it a part and reset it. Now it works and looks fabulous!

I'm having the same key removal issue as you guys, just got the shifter for my birthday. When you installed the base, did you push it as far down as you could? I put the stock shifter back on for the time being, any more tips on installation would be appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving!
