Need some help!
My car is at the dealership overnight tonight and this is the third time I have had it in. There is no sound coming from anything, the radio, blinkers, door chime etc. The radio is on but just no sound. Every now and then the sound will work. The dealer says they can't find the problem and I dont know what to do. Anyone have an idea of what it could be or what I should do?

I'm thinking that you should call GM and they can have a tech expert come out and help you with that at your dealership. You might try a different dealership as well. Sounds pretty lame that they "just don't know". I wouldn't accept that as an answer. That's pretty poor customer service. GM needs to hear about the poor service and inability to track down a problem in one of their vehicles.

A dealership should never say that. That's embarrassing. They're supposed to be experts at working on GM vehicles. Take it somewhere else. Sounds like there could be a faulty/erroded wire.

I spoke with the service manager and I actually got very upset. I told him im not going to continue to drive around my 40k dollar car when the sound won't work. Thats ridiculous. I mentioned the lemon law and he started back peddling but still couldnt give me an answer. I ended up leaving upset and told them they better find a problem or replace everything that could possibly be causing it until they find an issue. We will see in the morning when they call me...

Not for nothing, gm dealerships have been fail across the board. I had many horrible experiences at many dealerships on multiple occasions. They are all very arrogant and they lie about anything just to get a sale or warranty money. I'm super dissapointed gm let's this fly.

However, for every day your baby is in the shop, it extends your warranty that many days. It wouldn't hurt to call GM and complain VERY loudly!!! |

Most lemon laws allow you to geta new car if your car has been in the shop repeatedly for the same problem and the problem cannot be fixed. @ OP definitely call customer service and explain that you will speak of a lemon law lawyer if the problem cannot be corrected. |

Wonderfully Awful Idea

I did on an '03 2500 Silverado. I turn it up too loud and it went into protection mode. I pulled the fuse to the amp to reset it. I stopped after the second time. don't know if it's the same problem though.
