That was one of the reasons. They didn't have emissions equipment either. When you could actually import them there were only 2 companies that could get the permits to do the conversions. Both of them were shut down by DOT for not doing the work and still getting the paperwork signed off. Greedy beeturds.

You can pick them up for "Off Road Use Only" for $5-7k still, but that is still a huge PITA. Most of them still get crushed when they show up. I know a couple of guys that have AWESOME 240z's though.

There was a guy in Oklahoma City that had an R33. Government people were clearing all of the Skylines out and they just pulled the motor overnight, I swear by it. THEY PULLED THIS GUY'S MOTOR which was heavily modded. Twin turbos gone to waste. The wheels are now on a turbo mazda. I hate going green, it takes away all the fun.

by the decided to go back I mean if I'm even staying in or not. I know I need to make over 60k a year out of the military to live like i am currently in the same area. but most out side jobs for the same career field pay too little even in miami. . .

Im in the same boat right now..... 1 1/2 years left in my contract and I still cant decide what to do! Doesnt help that the job market is less than desireable.

Hopefully by the time you are ready for civilian duty the job market will have improved a lot more.

I didn't see watch the ball game near me, but I watched the new videos yesterday and I think they're pretty good. They don't make me want to go buy a car, but they pull some strings, so that's encouraging!
