my 2LT was born on 5/10 it does not have the connectors. i went for the purple wire in the driver kick in the back. there is a ground bolt there too. works good. im going to mess with it some more, im not happy with how even it is.

I have everything ready to start. I took my side cover off. I have no plug there. Should I look somewhere else or did some cars come without plug?

You got a lot of reading to do. I can't remember off hand, but it's been mentioned a few times.

A chevy dealer won't do it...and it's really not difficult. Get some help from a buddy if you need, but it's pretty easy. Just follow the directions.

Yeah, check post# 251 for a great place to tap into. There is a picture of the passenger side footwell area with a purple and black wire you can quick-connect (T-tap) into. Works great and even dims with the rest of your lights!

I just finished my dash ABL using EL wire. Tag is right. I read all 17 pages of this thread 4 times before I started. I taped into the purple wire and used a nearby ground wire. Polishing is key. I used Meguiar's plastic polish with my drill. It saves a LOT of sanding!

I think, IMO, the right side is perfect but the left side drooped a little when I glued the plastic tube so it has a dim spot in the middle. Easy fix.

I know, I know. Pictures.

Soon. Thanks everyone.

Yep. You will need ro sand both dash pieces and if you want to complete the look, you will need to extend the ABL in the doors by removing the panel, tape, and sand. Again, very easy to do. Just take ur time on sanding!

Camarorick - Outstanding! One question (and I'm sorry if I missed it), where did you get the red/black pigtail you use for the driver side power source connector?
