There were/are a few first year bugs, here's a check list,

Buying A 2010 Chevy Camaro? Take This 68-Point Checklist With You

If you're buying a used Camaro most of the list should have been corrected by the first owner.

I bought a late model '10 and can say I haven't experienced any on the list although some is shipping/prep issues. Only thing I did experience and it's not on the list is I kep hearing a rattle(before I had done any exhaust mods). After searching and when I started to do the exhaust it turned out a heat shield on one of the manifolds was loose.
No rattle, but it's louder in it's own way.

Me neither!

Just 2 issues:
  • weak spring in the cigarette lighter plug lid (dealer ordered part)
  • 1/2 trannie grind (only on hard acceleration) that many others have reported. I virtually eliminated it by replacing the fluid with synthetic oil
Good thing I never saw that list, because I would've made the mistake of not buying the car!

I haven't had any either car made mid Jan 10.

There is one other difference. It may be minor to some but to me im rather about it. The OnStar app for the iphone and android only works on the 2011 Camaro. i honestly don't see what the freakin difference is but to encourage more people to buy the 2011s.

If you want onstar on your smart phone. You can't get it with the 2010. Neet ex start car open windows find car tons of stuff. Other than that 1lt is the same car. It's all good

You realize that they could take "Chevy Camaro" out and put "Any car ever made" and it would apply, right?

my car, purchased June 2009... only thing was

004. Loose Spoiler/installed correctly (Re-torque Spoiler bolts) - i did this myself and applied some loc-tite..

My rear differential did develop a leak. IIRC there were a couple of use. Dealership fixed it and hasn't leaked since.

I do have the brake squeal now... Most likely I will simply upgrade the brakes next sprint...

Also in the new 2011 models, if you plan on doing any cosmetics with the rear bow-tie (Chevy Emblem), it is just held on with double sided tape. Whereas in the 2010 model, there are two screws I believe.

This list thing is a JOKE, Their is not a car made that does not have problems or little defects, Talk about Quality new toyota camary, only 200 km dash rattling, dealer reply, kits on order, from a dead stop floor the car and it bogs and then goes, dealer reply, thats the way they are.
In my opinion get the 2011 unless the 10 is a smokin deal, soon as you leave the lot it is a year old

Close... There aren't screws, but holes that line up your bowtie which still go on with double sided tape.
