Aw damn. Someone else was asking me questions about 17" tires- don't ask why- and I didn't change it back as you can see. The "text" is 245/45/20 but the fill in's are 245 45 17; same with the rear. Here it is again with 20's.....

Can't even find the MFG, much less internals spec's...I think it's a ZF if the G8 boys are correct.

Hmm...to hold on to 3rd and bump off the rev limiter for ET or shift to 4th in the quarter for speed.

ET is always more important.

The 3.45 Gear ratio (M6) is the final drive ratio, or rear diff ratio. I'm fairly sure that's correct.

Awesome, that's what I thought but needed the confirmation.

I'll be making an excel spreadsheet and posting it on here when I'm done so everyone can change the info to fit whatever car they'd like.

I'll also post a graph of the Camaro SS' shift times so we can tell exactly what RPM's would be most ideal.

Thanks, but the Academy is pretty paranoid about anything that could be construed as cheating so its probably safer that I decline.

Besides, this is the only homework over the last 4 years that I'll actually enjoy doing, haha.

So we know 3:45 gears will come on the SS, does anyone know if the aftermarket will have taller gear sets readily available? I don't know much about this rear end in the new Camaro, I know it's not like an old ten or twelve bolt chevy rear is it? Thanks for any input.

You can bet $$ someone will make a 4.10 rear-end or even something more radical.
