Why Is My System Cutting Out?
i have a LS and i replaced the stock 6.5's n the stock 6x9s with Kicker KS650 6.5s and Kicker KS6930 6x9s hooked up to a Kicker ZX350.4 Amp With Kicker Wires then i have ******** box for 2 10 inch subs With 2 Kicker 10 inch CVRs hooked up to Kicker ZX750.1 amp with kicker wires. Now i'm experiencing a problem when i turn my music up pass 15 my 4 channel will go into protected mode then the music kicks back in. My lights don't dim, my battery voltage doesn't drop below 14.8 on dashboard. I have the ground wires grounded pretty well and my battery voltage doesn't drop on my dashboard like i said I have a Optima Yellow Top for my battery. I'm lost and have no clue what to do.

If it's just the high amp kicking out, you might have a short in the speaker wires. Pull the door speakers and make sure they are wired correctly and nothing is bare, touching metal. Also make sure they are wired correctly and impedance matched to the amp. Same with the rear deck speakers.
Also, make sure whatever you are using for input signal for the high amp is wired correctly and has no bare spots. Also, disconnect the sub amp, either by pulling the ground or remote turn on (tape off). See if the high amp plays that way. If it does, check your turn on voltage with both amps hooked up. If it doesn't, and everything I posted above is okay, you might need to have the amp checked. Or you could possibly have a bad speaker. Check that by checking impedance of each one, unhooked from the amp/crossovers. Hope that helps some!

Sounds like a impedance problem.

Also, make sure the subs, not hooked up to the amp,are reading around 2ohms at the terminal. Again, it doesn't have to be exact, but you don't want it way out.

Impedence is the load presented to the amp. Depending on how you have the four channel amp wired your are basically overloading the amp.
In reading your description the first thing that popped into my mind was a ground issue. So check your ground and check your impedance. Between those two you will fix your issue. Cheers K |

It's not the ground I've changed the ground n I don't know what setting to turn my dmm OHM to, to check the impedance.

The lowest. Should have one saying something like 10 ohm, that's the one you want.

I got the problem fixed my remote turn on's were not getting enough voltage. fixed the problem by removing the remote turn on to a different location n adding a relay for it. N now everything is perfect.

Awesome! Told ya that in another thread somewhere, lol. Most people won't believe it, but it can be an issue in multiple amp installs. Glad you got it fixed bro!!
