GM/Hurst finally got installed...

Well, it wasn't easy but it finally got done. The dealer promised me the shifter in "1 week" when I bought the car. "1 week" turned into "2 weeks". Then on day 16 they promised it would be there in "2 days". Two days turned into "its on back order and it could be a couple months". Needless to say, I raised hell and threatened to fail them on the customer satisfaction survey.

Finally, after a few days of yelling and whatnot they decided to take a shifter off one of the other SS's that had a hurst already on it that they had in inventory.

Shorter throw than stock but not as short as the aftermarket Hurst shifter.

Its a shorter throw than stock and a much less rubbery feel than the stock shifter.

you threatened to fail them for something that is not their fault and completely out of their control?

Was it not their fault that they lied to me about how soon it would get there on multiple occasions?

NO !!! GM revised the release date like four times in the last two months. Somethings are just out of their control ...

Yea, dealership fault here for providing false information. Dealerships lie and they know it, they do it blatantly and for the average customer it flies. To the customer who wants their stuff, wants it now and doesn't enjoy taking sh*t, it doesn't work and they need to be reminded that we are doing them the favor by buying a car from them, not the other way around.

And on that note, if their promising 1 week, that's pure shipping time if it's ordered today. They assumed it was in stock without checking and figured that would give them enough time for shipping. They knew they were talking out of their a$$ unless they were providing a tracking number. Had they offered a tracking number and then that said lost in transit, not the dealers fault. But if the dealer says 1 week, I see no reason they should not be held accountable.
