Do you know them or something? I called them and they said just to paint the top is $2800.00. I already have my ground effects painted and installed also my spoiler is painted already also. I thought maybe $2000.00 just to paint the top. O well still cheaper than i can get it done here so in the spring it will more that likely go down there and get painted. How is the quality of the job? it is hard to tell in pictures. thanks

Yes, I do know the guys a bit, although I didn't ask for any favors price wise. I did get three other quotes in town and the next closest was $3500 + tax (estimate only).

The GFX comes off really easy and they just prep and paint so that doesn't take a lot of time. With the top they removed the sunroof, removed the mirrors, removed the glass from the mirrors, removed the roof ditch mouldings and the trim the around windows, removed the spoiler. The shark fin on the roof was 4 hrs to R&R as the headliner has to be removed to access it. More prep, lots of masking, paint and clearcoat, then put it all back together and then pinstripe it. Definetly the top is 80-85% of the work.

They did tell me that they spent more time than expected so it doesn't surprise me that they are asking a little more as I was the guinnea pig. I guess, my bad for stating the price they charged me...

The quality of the work is excellent, and the new shop is only about a year old so all new state of the art paint equipment.

After having seen the process first hand, if they quoted me $2800 for the top I believe I would still have it done, but thats your call.

ya it is still a good price. i am sure it will be going down there in the spring.
