The 2ss/rs is not the best choice for a 16 years old imo. I think the v6 has plenty of power and he will have to deal with the gas prices and don' t forget the sky-high insurance a 16 year old driver faces. There is a reason insurance premiums fall so much when you are 26 and above, married and have children. Your hormones have settled by then...

Dude, be more conservative for now, goose it up with CIA and exhaust, its quite a car in any variant!

Good luck on the hunt!

Used 75 Camaro = $3500
Rolling restoration over 10 years = $5000
$5 of gas burned in 10 seconds = Priceless!

Buy one with the factory 20" wheels. Speed is limited to 118 on the 18" wheels, but hopefully you will not go past posted highway speeds.

Okay this is from a 16 year old. I own a 2010 2LT/RS. The RS package is worth it if you ask me. Now if you dont care about leather seats and steerwheel controlls and the 4 pack gauge cluster then go with the 1LT it will save you some money. If you need some pictures of what the RS package has send me up a PM and i will help you out

There is no such as a SS under 26k OTD unless it salvaged or 75,000 miles

RS package on a 2LT trim gives you the V6, factory 20" staggered wheels, brembro brakes, projector/halo headlights, shaded taillights, rear trunk spoiler, red RS badging, leather seats, color or silver inner door panels with ambient light strips/matching dash trim, Boston Acoustics premium sound system with usb port, and auxilary 4 guage pak in front of your shift lever. It makes the price tag go up almost to a 1SS price tag at around $30k. if not higher. The RS package does make the LT look like an SS.

im 19 i bout mine new from a dealer i had to have it i saved my money and bought a 2lt/RS and love it but i would really reccommend looking at the used ones on here you can get a much better deal on a car with low miles possibly even a 2ss/rs with 10k-15k miles for about the price you would get a new 2lt/rs. just something to think about new car is great but its a lot better of a deal to get one used
