I think that's they way they'll be...Wrapping vinyl around a tight edge might lead to problems with peeling. Ending short of an edge would help it last. The trunk is the same, if you look at the show pics in another thread.

I'm almost there with you but this OLD guy is going to slow down. I put in a little overtime to get it but I needed to do what will get me this car and get my bills paid up.

Correct!

We -- nor you -- want peeling problems.

when you see it up close, it looks very much finished.

Are they going over the rear spoiler like at BJs or only on top of the spolier like at Detroit?

I did see it on the red one, but thought to be a fluke, but now it's on the grey one too.

Just curious, are factory stripes put on with a computer ran machine or by hand? A machine would probably do it the same every time.

Either way, I still like them.

The factory stripes will look great no matter how they are done. Just don't think that the stripe stopping short of the edge is gonna be so short that it's noticeable, and if it is, then just wait til you get your first ding

and it won't matter anyway.

I gotta tell ya'; I'm one picky sob, and the tiny exposed painted edge doesn't bother me at all.

I am very impressed with the decision to stop the front stripes short of the intake slot.

As a traditionalist Camaro owner, I wanted them full length like a '69, but the chosen treatment looks right on the 2010.

I like the little "grill" in the finished mail-slot as well. An aftermarket cowl-induction hood will make up for the non-functional mail-slot.

I also like the graining on the finished door panels. I want to see a pic of the fully-finished lower door panel area, as well.
