So, no GMPP Cold air intake at SEMA?

Well, I've looked and asked and no sign of the GM cold air intake. I was holding out for it, but I think I am done waiting. Unless someone has some very specific information about it, I will be ordering a different brand. I tried GM to give you my business, but enough is enough.

I'm not convinced they'd come up with a better design then the thoroughly tested aftermarket solutions currently available anyways : )

Yeah, I'm sure it would be very similiar in performance numbers on average.
I just like the idea of putting a GM cold air kit on my car. I would like to support them if possible, but they are making it very hard to do that.

Throw in the K&N air filter like I did to appease your waiting.

My understanding is that the stock airbox is pretty decent.

I noticed a bit of a difference when I did that, plus you keep the car looking stock.

after spending money on mods and learning about mods.. i would recommend adding a couple things at one time.. like maybe a CAI and exhaust and tune... a CAI alone is just not worth it IMO...

I agree and disagree with mike...

A CAI is healthy for the car with or without a tune. However, what I do STRONGLY agree with is purchasing a bundle if you can and have the money. Alot of C5 venders will give you really good discounts with a bundle and the tune brings it all together. The tune is what really seems to help all the products come alive...

I think that you may have tricked yourself into believing that the K and N actually did something. We tested that out on my car over a year ago, at Jannettys, and on the dyno, and it made absolutely no gain in power at all and that was with many tries. I think he states that and shows the data in the first round of cai testing back in Oct of 09.

I do believe you're the last hopeful soul left at C5. What is stopping you from getting any of the others?

I know. I just wanted to see what they had to offer. I was never in a hurry, but this has gotten ridiculous. The wait is over. I will be ordering from one of the other fine companies.

Haha, your conviction is commendable. With as long as you've waited, i'm sure you've had plenty of time to research what works and what doesn't. That translates into, we better not get a "what's the best intake for a Camaro" thread from you. :slice:

I noticed a difference when I hit the throttle from a stop.
Whether or not it made a difference in power I've not done a dyno, regardless I noticed a difference between the stock filter and the KN filter.

So wait. GMPP still hasn't released their CAI? I found it on sale at my local dealer, and on display as well.
