When you get your new Camaro you better watch it close.... this girl and her family are probably the type to go for revenge.... they really are twisted enough to think this is your fault and they have the right to get you back...

maybe some sort of security camera would be in order for your car....
and never park overnight outside your garage....

or.... maybe you're lucky and your up for a PCS transfer.

Sounds like a stolen car to me. I sure would call it that. There is no way to get that money out of her and her stupid boyfriend....Unless you can sell more ass as you had to do to get the car in the beginning.

Have to parents pay for the car or report it stolen, its nice to consider other people and their hard times grandted. Yet, perhaps she will not learn you work hard for the Camaro and your sacrifices are taken for granted when a teenager just takes what is yours. Has no idea what its like ot deploy, sacrifice, and be away from home

File Stolen

Actually the worse part for me what that while I'm here I worked a deal with a one of the custom body shops here on the forum to start paying now for $10,000 dollars worth of mods I was going to have done to the car. The plan was to start paying now, drop the car off at the shop on my mid-tour leave and and have the car worked on and balance paid by the time I came back in july. It was going to be badass. I have to contact him and ask for a Refund of the money I had already put down, that shit was seriously embarrassing. I hate to back out of business arrangements that I have made
I feel bad for you! what a crazy story, but you've done the right thing! Her parents attitude is to blame for her irresponsible behavior and you shouldn't lose out because of her mistakes.

God Bless you for serving our country and come home safe!

Ok, so to respond to a couple of ?

I left it with a friend and not in a real storage because I home base in in a town where the base is bigger then the town, Hinesville GA. Most people don't even know where this place is, I know i didnt before getting sent there. No where in this 1 horse town did they have any proper vehicle storage. The most I could expect was for the car to be in a climate controlled cage for up to 15 months....NO thanks, Everyone from my dealer to even my insurance rep suggested i leave the car with someone who would start it, wash it, change the oil. Not just let it set for a year and a half.

The friend was out with his girlfriend in his own car while, little sister got the keys because they were hanging in the kitchen buy the garage door. She was told when she came to stay what the deal with the car was, it was not to be touched. Apparently she got kicked out for haveing sex in the parents house but no one though sex would turn in to grand thief auto in 3 months.

Where was the friend, while i was going toe-to-toe with daddy? The parents were in another state, the friend was station at the same base I was. I only really talked to him briefly after he told me what happened and put me in contact with the parents, he did ask me not to press charges but said all he could do was ask and that he didnt have a right to be mad at whatever I decided. After that it was mostly the parents I dealt with.

The main reason I decided to press charges, out of all the emails and calls I got I never heard one peep from the sister, she never even so much as sent up a smoke signal to say im sorry

You did the right thing. Many parents today do not know how to discipline their children. So they grow up with a lack of respect for both their parents and other people, including their property. And because of that, people like you have to suffer for their mistakes. This will turn out to be the best thing for her, and yourself as well. Now you do not have to worry about your car while you are on duty, and you can get a newer, better one when you get back.

On a side note, if your friend is really a "friend," he would understand your position. While the situation is unfortunate, you have to worry about yourself and your property, because clearly your friend and his family did not. Hopefully you can now move on with little stress and aggravation. Best of luck.
