yeah. I saw a 1996 "SS" go for sale on a major website a few months back. I took one look at the pictures and emailed the guy about his so-called SS. the hood that he had was the aftermarket style SS hood that narrows in the rear of the scoop, the ashtray lid was not correct, and there were a few other discrepancies.

he was selling the car for 18k. and after a few emails back and forth he caved and said that it was a clone but with the price of the paint and all the modifications he had done, that he felt justified by calling it a true SS with no mention of it being a clone.

there was another one trying to pass off a black 2002 SS as a rare 35th Anniversary Model Limited Edition.
I laughed my ass off at the guy. cus the Limited Edition came in only one color.... Red. with silver checkered flag stripes. not to mention he didnt have the Z4C RPO code anyway...

I'm still thinking Z/28....
The mix-up of all the SS's levels for the 5th gen kinda force me to wait a couple of years,LS trim Camaros never came before,LT ya, Corvette SS coming soon,no.........so I bank on the return of Z/28 as the Mustang destroyer come 2012
