Wait till 2012?
So I am considering trading my 6-banger in for something with a deeper voice. There are a few dealers in town with 2011 and 2010 SS's that would fit the bill. My question is whether I will regret my purchase once the 2012's come out. Supposedly a better interior, perhaps a little more horsepower. I guess nobody knows, but is anyone else having the same dilemma? I'm sure I would be very happy for the next 5-6 months, but I worry I will kick myself if those '12's are something special. Maybe I should go back to driving a truck until the 2015's come out.

Its understandable to want the next best thing but with the rate at which the "next best thing" comes along you are better off just finding something that brings you and only you happiness.

Yes, I've got the same dilemma. I totally enjoy my 2011 1LT but, when it comes right down to it, I feel that there is something still lacking....and that something is an SS. I thought I had it all thought out when I ordered the 1LT but, in my case, I guess I was wrong, as bad as I hate to face up to it. So now, plan B is to order a 2012 SS, unless a "cannot refuse" type deal comes up on a 2011 SS, and I doubt it will. Live and learn the hard way, huh?

Sadly, I don't think I will be in the market for a $45K plus car.

I'm totally with you on this. It's killing me to wait, but my lease ended on my Grand Prix GXP on September 11th. G.M. was offering all kinds of great deals to get rid of my Grand Prix earlier, and to get me in another G.M. car. I decided to go ahead and start the process of buying the Grand Prix, but it's all because I'm waiting for the new interior that's supposed to happen with the 2012 Camaro. I plan to order a 2LT 2012 the first week of June! The interior was the only thing that kept me from driving one off the lot a few months ago.

wait for 2012
I'm am waiting for 2012 because I'm hoping for some new colors besides the new interior. Hope to see some other stuff like a back up camera and side mirrors that warn of blind spots.

Cars will continue to evolve and get better. At some point you have to jump in. If you wait for a 2012, there will be rumors of new improvements coming for 2013 and maybe you will want those? Like now, waiting for a Z28 would be sweet but you can build an SS to be more powerful and probably cheaper if you dont want to wait. Of course, having a full warrenty and the power of a Z28 is very enticing.
