Any word on accommodations for this event? Can we get a group rate at a hotel or anything like that?

Glad you asked!!The short answer is "sure"!! The problem is to date we don't even have enough gen 5's to do the corral!! Just another reason to start early!! Additionally it takes a financial commitment. For example, The raceway bills me for however many corral tickets, over 10 we order. I then distribute the tickets as required. A block of accommodations works the same. They want someones credit!! I'd love to make it happen!! But it's obviously going to take more influence then what I have. For example I made the initial post in General, California & N. Pacific discussions and the Administrators chose to move them!! In my never to be humble opinion it's probably going to take a "sticky" plus an endorsement and perhaps a sponsor!! We may get some Grand-Am help but not with less than 10 cars!! I'm a little more than surprised. Camaro owes it's heritage to the Sunoco #6!! Looking for Help!! Thanks!!

Would definitely love to lend a hand, but unfortunately, I will be in Afghanistan from January until June. I'm not sure I'd be able to do much from behind my limited internet connection.

Much appreciate your response and efforts Todd but you've obviously done more than enough!! We've gott'er cooking now!! Thanks to everyone's response We've now have commitments. Hope to make an announcement soon!! You just "gett'er done"!! and get back for the event!! I really wanted to say something cool but there's no way I can match your ribbons!! I have three bronze stars on a Viet Nam defense medal and a unit citation with a combat E, but two E's, that's nuts!! However I do have a Marine Globe and Anchor on a unit citation for a joint amphibious combat landing. (Navy Seabees) You may be a while getting that one!! In any event "Thanks" for your service. These back to back deployments are B.S.!! The help I was looking most for was with this web site's administration and I think we'll get there!! Stay tuned!! Gonn'a be fun!! Incidentally I've since last post recruited 4 more Cam's!! Gonn'a be fun!!

Hey - we put a Camaro/Firebird Corral together for the race at Mid-Ohio this year and had a GREAT time!!!! We had a meet-n-greet/tour with the Stevenson Motorsports Group (Jeff Bucknum, Matt Bell, Al Carter, Hugh Plumb and Mike Johnson-Mgr), and also met up with Momentum Motorsports (Jordon Musser) and Mitchum Motorsports (Joey Atterbury).
If you need any help, I can provide contacts at the GRAND-AM Series folks. Just let me know and will be happy to help any way we can. We're already working on the 2011 - Series Finale at Mid-Ohio and can't wait!!! Hopefully, we see a Camaro or two (or more) in contention for the Championship!!

Many Thanks for the support MrsLT1, that gott'em fired up!! It now appears a sure thing it's going to happen!! We're in contact with Mazda Raceway and Grand Am both of whom are working on the details to complete a successful "Corral"!! Incidentally both have been extremely receptive to a "Camaro" corral !! Your enthusiasm supports our efforts, Thanks for the response!! Great Pic's!! I must agree!! I'm a long time SCCA "club" racer (AS Camaro) and there is no question Grand Am's got "the deal" but I beleive the SCCA will always be the home of the amateur racer!! I also have an LT1, Luv it!!
