Just an interesting view of what the sunroof will cut through...

Or perhaps you'll get 2 crossbeams on either side of the sunroof rather than cutting through the one in the middle???

OK i canceled my sunroof today to save the reverse Mohawk. never was a fan of the way it opened out the top of the car to save head room.

Initially that was going to be the one option that I just had to have...up until I saw how if popped open like a damn air brake on a fighter jet! So I'm going to keep the cool looking reverse mohawk instead.

NOW, I don't want to beat a dead horse, (unless it's a Mustang of course) but this car REALLY should have had T-Tops!!! There is nothing I enjoy more than driving around with the tops off in my old T/A. I LOVE the wind / sun / scenery etc., while still having some metal around me!!! I even prefer it over a convertible because you're still enclosed, and can still see out of it when the tops are on. I take 'em off almost every day. In fact, even today the dog and I went T-topping for an extended spin on our way back home from our walk.

There is one thing I'd like to ask though. Do any of you guys or gals know of any place still making / selling the plastic channel pieces that fit around the three sides of the glass panels? Thanks

Sunroof or no sunroof?

How many of you got the sunroof? I'm debating right now. Never really felt the next for a sunroof, but I guess it would be nice.

To me a sun roof wouldn't really look good in the camaro exp. since it is modeled after the "69". Now the gen 4 camaros look ok with it. I didn't get one in my order.

Just remember if you get the sunroof you loose the reverse Mohawk roof. It also looks stupid open.

yea, myself i didn't want a sunroof...maybe if t-tops were offered, but no sunroof for me. I never saw any 1st gens with a sunroof....or any camaro really. maybe i'm just blind? still i prefer to have a hardtop, it's one less thing to worry about leaking or getting broken into....

Ant, I think there is another thread and poll on this. You might want to search for it to see some of the comments. I personally think that the sunroof just continues the lines from the hood and looks great. I ordered it.

I did not order my Camaro with a sunroof.

Every car I have had with a factory sunroof has leaked at some point in my ownership. The worst part is they can leak for a long time onto the floorpans for months before you notice it, setting up a bad situation for rust.

Plus, you lose the reverse mohawk line on the roof if you opt for the sunroof.

All three of my current vehicles have sunroofs as have the 4 before that.

A few things -

None ever leaked.

Most opened inside the roof, not outside, although not all

I didn't order the Camaro with one. It just ruins the look for me. While open the car looks scalped with a piece of scalp folded back...just bad.

I did a search, but couldn't find it. :(

Sorry if this is a repeat.

Hardtop all the way. I had T-tops on my 86 and I never used them - always wished I had a hardtop for the smoother look. The sunroof doesn't look as bad open in person as in pictures (at least not IMO) but its still nowhere near worth the money to me - plus, I love the reverse mohawk.
