make side markers work as blinkers/turn signals, test

UPDATED, UPDATED, UPDATE WITH 2 LED STRIPS 11-19-10

ok i just installed 2 strips, WOW, so much better. check out the new video

hello guys, well i have seen many car/suv with a blinker between the door and front fender. i have always liked the way it looked, so i thought about putting one there. Well as i was driving on the hwy last night i thought it would be cool if both side marker could blink. well i went to autozone and pepboys this morning to see what i could come up with. i found the same bulb that is used in the side marker and i found a couple of different style sockets. the video and pics are with the original bulb installed and a 2nd bulb for the blinkers, i have only done the front marker at this time. tomorrow i will be doing the rear markers. i am also going to experiment with putting LED strips in them to make them brighter when the side marker light is on, it looks good when the side marker is off but when its on, i think it need to be a little brighter. let me know what yall think.

UPDATED TO REFLECT LED'S INSTEAD OF BULBS.
SOOOO, i would like to ask if anyone would be interested in these? here is my thoughts if this is something yall would like. i would buy the markers new and install the leds, i would ship them to you and you would ship your old markers back. i would make a video on how to put them in, the front snap out in 2-3 minutes including pulling the front fender lining. the 2 wires would tap into the front blinker wires. they are very easy to get to from the engine compartment. it took me 10 minutes to put the front one in after i modified in and wired.
now if there is an interest in these then i would have to become a sponsor,
again if there is interest, i priced the marker and leds with all the wires taps and tyraps that i would include.
price up front 270.00 for all four, return your markers and i will refund $140.00. the total would be $130.00 to have blinker/side markers. THIS IS FOR ALL 4, 2 FRONT AND 2 REAR.
let me know what yall think. i just an idea brewing in my little warped mind.

I think I'm missing the point in paying $120 to drill an extra hole and put an extra $2 bulb in the side marker when you could just rewire the bulb that's already there to work with the blinkers.

yes you could do that, but then you wont have side marker lights at night, well you wont ever have side marker lights, only blinkers, they would only come on when the blinkers are on. thats the point,

What? You would wire it so the side marker would have constant power, but cut out when the blinker is activated...you know, kinda how your brake lights work, they stay on at night, but blink on and off when they need to.

Face palm yourself.

He asked for opinions.

hello, i dont know if you know this, but blinkers(brake lights)have 2 elements inside them and 3 wires going to them. 2 are power and 1 is ground. 1 powers the running light element in the bulb and the other powers the 2nd element in the same bulb when you push the brakes, those bulbs are also larger as a result. the side marker lights only have one element as they are pretty small. if the light is already on (at night) and you tap into it from the blinker wire, its not going to get any brighter when you turn on the turn signal because it already have 12v going to it, not only that, but what about back feed? you would now have to run a diode to keep power from back feeding to the blinker circuit when the side markers are on at night and the turn signal is not. that this why a separate light/element is needed. i looked for a small bulb with 2 elements but no luck. thanks for you input.
