Performace wise? NO Looks wise? Perhaps, all depending on your opinion. Personally the stock front facia and rear diffuser is more rice than those from the NISMO body kit. I just can't stand that stupid break light on the bottom of the rear.

oh lord, not the whole ricer thing again. some people need to get educated on the REAL meaning of ricer. Just because it's a toyota, honda, nissan, etc, does NOT mean it's a ricer. Ricer is when someone takes their car, make it look like crap, think they are fast, when they really aren't. please look it up.

Examples of rice:
bench for a wing on a front wheel drive car
stickers
gawdy bodykit
unpainted bodykit
black hood on a white car to pass as a carbon fiber hood
large fart can
etc.

Yes, domestic cars can be defined as "rice".

and yes, "oriental" is frowned upon when talking about asians.

Not to get off topic again but I agree with PoorMansCamaro that the definition of a "ricer" has become such a blurry description now that it has lost the true meaning to most...I actually had a guy in a Honda today that while he had what I would call a fart-can exhaust LOOKS wise, it didn't sound like it and he had his body kit fully painted to match, the spoiler on the back wasn't over-bearingly huge and he had one Decepticon sticker on the back window and that's it...talked to him at the stoplight for a bit and found out he had a turbocharged 4-banger under the hood. I didn't classify him as a ricer or his car...just because they don't have an expensive import doesn't mean they are ricers.

But back on topic to the OP, them following you too your house is definitely something to pay attention to. I had friends that I went to high school with (not friends anymore because of their lifestyle choice) that when someone was subbing and pulling into a neighborhood they would follow them to their house, acted like they lived just down the street, would ask him "Man what do you have in that thing? Sounds Aweomse!", then they'd come back later that night and strip the system from it. Not saying the guys in the 370z are those kind of people but just saying don't let your gaurd down, anything is possible in todays crazy, unpredictable society...

This happened to me last week while driving with my wife. We were coming home after picking her up from a friend's baby shower, driving on I-264 minding our own and cruising. Couple of younger guys in a 350z come speeding up next to me, mind you that in the next 300 feet my lane ends for construction so I need to merge over to the left lanes, they stop next to us reving his engine not letting me over. I hit the brakes to duck behind him change 3 lanes over and speed up to get away from him. All is fine up until a few miles later my lane merges again but to the right this time. As I go to merge, what do I notice next to me reving their engine and not letting me over again?! The same 350z from earlier, at this point I am pretty pissed and so is my wife as we just want to get home. I tried to speed up just a little bit to pull ahead because I didn't want to brake this time, instead the guy speeds up to block me in. I have about 100 feet left in my lane so I pretty much gave in and dropped it from 6th to 3rd and hit the gas pretty hard. My wife gets thrown back in her seat pretty scared and excited that our car has this much power and the 350z thought the race was on but quick to his demise that he was already 10 car lengths behind me when I reached 115 mph and the exit I wanted. I tap the brake lights to let him know that he lost, he would not try to make the effort to come up so I could give him the finger as we exited. From all this we decided to fill ourselves with delicious taco bell.

What comes to a surprise next both got us, as we pull off the interstate and go underneath the overpass a trans am runs his red light and nearly takes us out from the side. Luckily I hit the brakes enough to miss it and I ride his ass knowing he messed up big time. What does he do? Hits the gas hard and pours smoke all over our car and barely pulls away from us. The guy was lucky that taco bell was already in front of us and that I was too hungry to pursue his idiocy.

It was a pretty crazy night on the roads here in va beach but sadly I can't say it was the first time I experienced stupid drivers here.

Read my previous post. Times change. It's not the 1960's or 70's anymore. You don't go around calling people "colored" anymore, do you?

This is very true. Being a ricer isn't just about the way your car looks, either. It encompasses your mentality and driving style as well. You're car can be fast as hell, and you can still be considered a ricer. In fact, coming from the import scene myself, there are just as many ricers in the domestic scene as there are there. Driving like a dipshit, thinking your car is the end-all-be-all on the road, bragging about romping on mini-vans or something ridiculous like that, and frowning on other cars that you probably know nothing about all qualify as ricer behavior.

A 370Z, with a good driver can give an SS a run for its money, like I said before. The SS is a great car, I love it, but its not a Ferrari.

I couldent agree more. Iv had my tahoe ( previous Vehicle ) keyed out side my house, Iv also Seen a Kids 2010 Ls get white stripes painted on it ( with spray paint :( ) I wish i could get in the garage..

No to update this i actually stoped by shipleys yesterday and There was the 370 sitting out front. So i went in and the Kid said " oh hey how u been " and we talked for a while hes actually a pretty cool kid. He talked about his 370 for a while and then we went our own ways, still creeps me out that he would follow me home tho''

" By saying " you dont follow a Ferrari Home " I in no way ment the camaros on that level nor do i even understand how you got that message from that ? I ment you dont just follow Any Sports car that you think is sick home to ask to race ? "

AND about the oriental thing , I can confirm that no i didnt know that was offensive and quite frankly i dont care, Im not racist i just think some should be alittle tougher and not whine about stuff, Just like midget is now offensive , African American is offensive because " There not all from Africa " Mexican is now somewhat offensive they prefer Hispanic or Spanish ?
But do we care to be called white,Cracker,Red Necks ? No.? Sorry if i personally offend you tho i can assure you i didn't mean to.

And i always just refered ricer as to having something to do with the asians that drive them. Or i thought it had something to do with the popping raspy sound they make ? My bad

I wasn't around in the 60's or 70's but if I can be called white then others can be called colored imo.

I don't think anyone goes around calling caucasian people those things. At least not in normal middle-class suburbia.

And as far as the term ricer is concerned, consider yourself enlightened then, because I've met more domestic ricers in my day than I'd care to count.

Must be nice to live in such a happy little perfect world because I sure dont.

If calling someone "colored" is a slur then why wouldn't "white" be a slur?? Oh I know because its only really a slur if your a minority.

The term "ricer" is a slur yet it gets tossed around all over this place.

Anyway to get back on topic it is very odd and stupid for anyone to follow someone home. They really need to think to themselves how would it look if they had someone follow them home.
