Fidanza dual disc clutch issues (slipping)

Has anyone had issues with the Fidanza clutches slipping. As soon as I put mine in, after driving it for some miles, I gave it a little gas & it just spun, I've called their tech support line about 20 times & they won't call me back.

Has anyone else had issues with their clutches? My clutch has never seen even close to WOT, and I probably haven't spun the motor more than 4k rpm's since the clutch was installed.

Warning to everyone, their tech support will not call you back, I'm stuck with a clutch that never held. I'm to the point that I'm just gonna pull it and put a monster in it.

If any fidanza dealers on here can contact them & ask them to get in touch with me on here that would be great, they might be able to save some face with me.

Right now I would not recommend purchasing one of their clutches as if you have issues, they will not return your calls, or email's. Basically I flushed $1200 down the drain, and now have to get another clutch, because I can't get in touch with someone who will help me, or even find how to swap it out for another one, or if there is some issue with the hydraulics & these clutches that I may be able to fix without replacing the clutch.

If anyone has any good deals on Monster Clutches, hit me up, good chance you will get my business, as they never will again.

Did they do anything to warranty it?

Thanks man, I'll see if I can get in touch with him today.

I searched about 3-4 forums to see if people were having trouble with that clutch like I was, and couldn't find any people bitching about them, but I guess no one is complaining like I am. I'm really looking to pulling that tranny for the 4th time this year. :(

Search Fidanza sucks in google... they do seem to have a lot of issues, mostly with their service.

Well, when I was looking for a new clutch the only people that had it in stock was Summit, I just called them, they are going to give me a full refund on the clutch. So I'll get my $1200 back for the clutch, then spend about 800 on a monster. I'm not even going dual disc this time.

The warranty guy at summit said that he had never heard of this problem with these clutches, so I told him to google Fidanza Sucks, and to check this thread to see that other people had problems. When he searched Fidanza sucks, he was like DAMN, go ahead & send it back for a full refund.

Usually improper air gap when setting up.....have had good luck with them in the past, but set-up is tricky. Monster is excelent.

I am not disagreeing with your statement but mine was installed and set up by Jennety Racing and I am sure he knows how to set them up. I suffered with that clucth in my car for a thousand miles trying to break it in and get it to seat and it never did. The ZR-1 clucth Jennnety replaced it with was spot on from the very first drive of the car.

Only telling what happened to me and not arguing anybodys point of view!!

Mine was setup by my buddy who besides being an ASE & GM master Tech also builds hot rods out of his house as his second job. Doubt it was a setup issue. He does everything by the book. He doesn't just throw stuff in, he will read every bit of documentation and if he has to set it up with a micrometer, he will set it up to a T. He probably does more GM clutches in a week than most performance shops do in 3-4 month's.

Monster is a great clutch. Use them alot but if you already dumped $1200 willingly I would go Mcleod RXT. About the same price, very light peddle and handle a big amount of power.

Wow, Summit will do a refund on an installed clutch for you?

Cool man, I'll look into it, I've watched you post for the last 8 years or so on Tech, so I know you know what you are talking about, I am running a little over 700 RWHP on the kit, but the Fidanza never even saw 3/4 throttle, so it never even saw any real power & I never hit the kit with that clutch.

I just feel burnt after the fidanza thing & wasn't planning on going back with a dual disc, but I'll keep researching, I won't really be able to order anything until at least black friday, or even Monday. So still have time to make my decision. With a single disc, I can deal with clutch chatter, no problem, I can not deal with slipping. I'm trying to get this thing into the 9's & I'm almost there doing most of the modding out of the house & my buddies shop on a stock short/heads.

It just really sucks, I'm supposed to be spending my free time building my LS1 powered Fox Race car, not continually pulling the trans on the 5th gen. First the broken main shaft in the trans, now the clutch issue. I work away from home, if I wouldn't have spent so much time on the damn 5th gen, the Fox would have been fired up already. :(
