Congrats to all!!! And thanks for your support...
Yours was built after mine and you live in CA. I am still waiting on my baby to be delivered to the dealer. That car looks like mine except mine has the stripes (that is why it took longer). It took them six days for the stripes and go to QC a few times.

Just found out the truckers union is closed the rest of the week so my car will not be taken to the dealer until next week. So much for the long weekend. I think I will work Friday to save a PTO day.

That sucks! We head to the dealer tonight and we'll get the last tracking numbers.

Hello everyone

First time poster but a long time viewer of the forums here. Great job all and it seems to be a very welcome community.

I ordered my 2011 camaro on 9/27 and the anticipation is killing me. Last update was on 11/17: (4300) Interm transfer; processing transfer to QC or vendor.

My order # is PFTPXK, VIN:2G1FT1EW3B9136774

Any thoughts when I might expect to see this car at the dealership?

Mine was built on the 11-12, shipped on 11-13, got to Milpitas rail yard on 11-19/20, and got to Corning dealership on 11-23, although it was scheduled to arrive on or after 11-29. Hope that helps. Shipping seems to be pretty quick once it actually gets on the train...

Yeah, I noticed they are much the same...I'm going to get my stripes painted, so I didn't have to wait for them. I'll just have to wait later...LOL

That's whats holding mine up, The Strips!.
Should have waited till I got it then got strips.
Friday they are calling for snow here. I have to get a hold of a enclosed trailer to bring it home if it snows.
This has been a great group and wish you all good luck with your new babies.
Will still be around on C5 for a long time.
Thanks Becky for all your hard work.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Googleyes I would love to meet up! I drive through Burb, Glendale and Pasadena all the time. I take surface street shortcuts when the 5 freeway is screwed up. The daily commute takes me from Simi to Santa Fe Springs (OC County line) at the 605/5. That is a 120 mile round trip 4 days a week. UGH. Orange Krate will be a weekend fun car to replace my 1923 Roadster. Lets see if we can do something fun. A power run to Hooters with the Orange Krate might just be in order!

PS - I am an avid amateur photographer and will have Nikon in hand.

I said it before...even in primer the new Gen 5 just looks awesome! I love these cars and I don't even have mine yet.

On another note, last night I got home late and received a message that my cousin's husband had passed away this week. Jerry was 76 and had battled Alzheimers for a number of years. The funeral was this morning. I went and met people I hadn't seen in years. Sad yet happy time.

My point for saying this is...time goes way too fast and we do well by surrounding ourselves with good friends, with common interests. This car brings people together from all walks of life (even if we don't own one). The Camaro truly is a car that lives up to its namesake of "friend" because it MAKES friends for us. It is almost magical.
