i think i have the exact same problem. im kind of a new with this stuff though so can you explain the remote turn on exactly and how i can fix it? i have all alpine type r components speakers. two alpine type r 12's and 2 alpine amps.

I seriously doubt a cap will help, go deep cycle battery, ala yellow top or something along those lines. If you go cap, go big, like 5 farads or more.

NO MORE PROBLEMS!!!!! So I went n purchased a cap but before i got started installing the cap i went back to check my ohm load from the subs to the amp n gain on my hi lo converters. n i found my problem the gain was maxed out on the hi lo causing it to overheat n put my amps into protected mode then the ohm load from the subs were too low n was causing the amps to short themselves. Now after i finally fixed all that i decided hey i've already brought a optima yellow top n a cap i might as well install the cap. so once i begin on the cap i found a nice good ground instead of the one i had before so i re grounded the amp as well. Then once everything was complete i started to tune the amps n deck too where the speakers would just get distorted a little. After that I took her out for a spin n what do you know Everything was work perfect and LOUD THANKS MRRAY 13!
