Before I ordered my 2010, I shopped around to see who had allocations to preorder a Camaro. I went to Depaula but they acted like it was a privilege to order from them. Besides the fact that they lowballed my trade, I left and went to Northstar where I know Bill Cass and he ordered my camaro no problem and gave me more for my trade. Not alot more, but what I wanted.

Depaula's large volume sales often make them forget about the smaller things that are important too, i.e., quality service, customer satisfaction, etc.
Why so negative? Your post adds nothing to this discussion. You don't know Kara DePaula's motives at all. I've met her a few times and candidly do not know her well, but she's a very nice person and it appears she wants to get involved to do the right thing and you flamed her for it?

I'm sorry you didn't have the experience you wanted with her dealership when buying your Camaro, but you might want to put yourself in her shoes. She has a very large organization to run and can't possibly know everything that goes on everyday. She found out about this customer's situation and is trying to do the right thing. If she doesn't follow through, go ahead and flame all you want, but give her the benefit of the doubt until she drops the ball.

I say give her a chance to right it

I feel for you.It would make anyone mad and disgusted to experience what you have. But now that they have a chance to make it right give them the opportunity to step up to the plate & right it.
Now days we seem to hear more and more of this type of treatment of the customer.
But guess what. The INTERNET is changing the game.As it makes it easy for one to reach out and spread the word.As more and more business's become aware of this they will begin to be more responsive to the customers issues or they will suffer for it.Good luck.

Update:
I called Ms. Depaula on Monday and left a message for her,
I get the feeling she will call back when she has a minute, that type
of business and the size of it make for a daunting task at best.
So I guess as it stands I am glad she took an interest to at least reach out,
I touched base back and maybe who knows...a little dialog could happen in the near future.
Time will tell....still love my car though!!!!!

Hey Orange krate...I have some other pics and some movies of the car, need to go on disk though....I'll PM ya and we'll swap addresses.

Roger that. My TPW is this week and everyone in my group has had their car made! Mine is still stuck in the birth canal! Big baby. C-Section could be required.

sorry for the slight derail,

Woah we almost ordered our car at the same time! My dealership gave me Dec 02 delivery, but i hope it is sooner! I am getting extremely anxious!

As for Depaula, any news yet? Have they made things right?

not that you got the run around BUT you screwed up in the beginning...

you let a CAR DEALERSHIP do a BODY SHOPS job. If you needed a root canal, would you go to an orthodontist? NO. Sorry for your troubles but dealerships are only good for one thing. Putting you behind the wheel of a new car... and most are only marginally good at that. When it comes to ANYTHING else, take it to a pro in that field.

I have a GREAT relationship with my dealer BUT when the rear bumper of my car needed warranty paint...

they told me they'd paint the whole bumper... they didnt.

they left overspray over the entire drivers quarter panel that I had to clay bar off, took about 4 times to get it all.

dropped the bumper and rubbed a tad of paint off the corner in the wheel well. I fixed this with touch up.

Since it was warranty, I had no choice and all in all the repair was acceptable but by no means perfect.

Sorry for your troubles, let this be a lesson!

Driver side where they rubbed it with paint remover or steel wool, I keep saying on the pass side by mistake because that was the source of the original repair, the pass fender was the root problem.
