Weird vibration at intervals.............. NOT MY CAR......... lol

Ok, it's on Bonnies car but I feel we can possibly learn something here.

It's a subtle vibration that comes and goes evenly.

At around 80 mph it will shimmy for about a second and stop for about a second and a half, then shimmy for about a second then stop for a second and a half.... and so on. Never getting better or worse.

We rode all the way to Houston and back like that.

Any ideas.........???

I know I've seen another post like this and the guy never found out whats caused it, ether, the guy took it in to his dealer, the dealer had no clue also... I told the guy I had a similar problem a long time ago it was coming from the drive line, replaced the drive line and U-Joints & all good.
I'd take it in to the dealer, they'll check it and it will get fixed or they will have it on file, encase if it gets worse.
Hope that helps, good luck, keep us posted.

It's due for a service, so I'll have them check it.

That's the same issue I'm having. My wife wants the CTS-V Sedan. Which I really like too. Just don't want her to be faster either. On the other hand? I drive her car all the time when we go out together . SOOOOO?

Ok. I'm gonna have it all checked. I thought of that, but there is no vibration when breaking. Only when opperating and only at high speed.

I have this same problem with my Pontiac G8 Gt Dealer has no clue ( 3 times ) did the balance thing changed tires rotatated tires ) test drove another G8 GT and it does the same thing. I wonder if it has something to do with the active fuel managment system because it only does it when I hold the gas at a steady pace.
