I hope girls and women prefer the camaro and buy them like hotcakes. If they get it in the camaro in their veins like me , there is no substitute.... I preordered mine and MSRP, no problem.... where do I sign.

Here are my reasons:
Im not a racer, im not gonna take it to a track, or race on the street and risk killing myself or someone else.

It was a lot more affordable for me.

It will be a daily driver, and the better the gas milage, the more dollars in my pocket.

I like the front bumper better.

I really don't care about bragging rights, because i own an SS. It doesnt make me a better person because i own one, and just because i dont own one, doesnt mean im some stupid girl that doesnt know anything about cars.

Besides, its a pretty badass V6.

Now everyone of you that bought a V8, thats awesome i respect the V8 as a muscle car, but by no means does that give you the right to talk down on someone who bought a V6, we all have our reasons, and they are all camaros after all.

Oh and it doesnt make me any less of an enthusiast because i own a V6. I've waited for this car as long as everyone else.

Nice job. Nothin wrong with that, and I think really answered the question of women and V6s.

My wife offered to trade her Grand Prix in for one, but said it would have to be an automatic. However I told I would trade my GTO in because I want a 6 speed.

Traditionally, Mustangs have had more universal appeal than Camaros, but not by much. I think its around 50/50 in the mustang (men/women) vs 55/45 for the Camaro. I would imagine this trend will continue, there will be more men buying Camaros than women, but not by much. On paper the Camaro LS/LT will be able to sway a lot of buyers because it has more power with roughly the same fuel economy as the V6 Mustangs. Looks are subjective and there will be plenty of people who hate the Camaro and will never set foot in one. Plenty of others will see them on lots and will be drawn towards them. Problem is, we don't really know what the general public thinks of the Camaro. It has gotten lots of attention from enthusiasts on forums like this, by magazines, and at autoshows. But the vast majority of buyers don't do things like that.

I have intentionally avoided calling these buyers women because there are few things that a woman specifically cares about in a car that a man doesn't. Lots of men will be interested in saving several thousand dollars in purchase price, having good fuel economy, etc, and there are women who want to have the fastest, most powerful car they can get.

I'm sure that the Camaro will be very appealing to both genders!! As to V6 or V8 bought buy women...it a matter of personal preference. Right Pink!! After all, while size is of some importance, performance is what really matters! Typical daily driving you won't notice much difference between the V6 and V8 except for the mailslot in the front. The V6 is a very respectible sports car!!

Ordered 10/20 and I can't wait! This car is going to be soooo much fun! I fell in love with the late 60's Camaros when I was a kid despite the fact I came from a Ford family.

Raised at the drag strip - I have the need for speed. Rumbling thunderous horsepower makes my heart beat faster EVERYTIME!

This car is my opportunity to be me again.

Just stating opinion here, but i think women have always been attracted to the Mustang more than they ever have the camaro.I think the image of the Mustang(horse, animal)is what they are drawn to along with the styling and name of the Mustang.

The Camaro represents more of a Masculine image than the Mustang,there-for Men are more drawn to the Camaro than women are, that being said, the Camaro is more of a Man's car.Rarely do i see women driving camaro's,but i do see more women driving mustangs.Just like you see men drive Corvettes, and women don't ,and if you do it's because the boyfriend or husband owns the Corvette and is letting her take it for a spin.

Women and Camaros go together naturally.

Yes I think that a lot of women will buy the Camaro, and yes I think it will be more towards the V6. It's a very male thing to think about such things as the rumble of an engine, the hp of it and the amount of torque it produces, and it more a female thing to think more of styling, looks and also economy. Nothing wrong with that, it's almost a fact of life.

BUT. The only reason I'm not getting a V6 Camaro is because I myself feel the need to own a true V8 muscle car before they disappear. It's something I grew up with and I need to have that feeling for myself. Otherwise it would be V6 for me because it still looks fantastic.

I was waiting at the front doors on Oct 13th to order my 2SS/RS. There is no way I would buy a sports car with a V6. I know more about the camaro than my husband does. This will be my fourth camaro.

Well I am female & I love camaro's. I have driven a 2000 camaro SS for 9 years & have ordered a 2010 sim ss/rs & it will be my daily drive. The meaner the better. Will retire the 2000 to rest by the 72 LT1 vette, 67 ss chevy nova II, 70 chevelle ss 396, 69 nova ss, & being restored 69 rs/ss. As you can see this is a Chevy family.
