But does anyone know of a "SAFE" way to transfer these earnings to someone else. One has to provide that card number to the dealer and if I'm not mistaken some of the paperwork they send you home with has that number on it. I'd like to farm out some of my earnings, but I DO NOT want anyone to be able to access my number. And for the life of me no one in my family wants a new GM.
I have done this for my brother two times. The only way another person can use your earning is if they are an "authorized user" on the GM card account.

Each time. I added him to the account for a day or two and then removed him. I would not do this for anyone you cannot completely trust.

There is NO CASH BACK for earnings.
$1000 is all that we are going to get at first for the Camaro

It may be that different cards let you do different things with regards to the cash back. I will check on this and post when I find out.

Depending on the card, yes there is. But it's only 1%.

Mine earns 3% towards a GM vehicle and 1% cash back.

Just got off the phone with GM Card people. If you have Gm World Card, you can transfer your earnings to anyone in the household OR you can add anyone else as a user to be able to use your earnings.

You do not get cash back with the World card, but you get the 5% earnings toward a new GM car/truck.

The flexible earnings card gets you only 3% earnings toward a new GM car/truck BUT does give you 1% cash back on future purchases.

You can transfer your World card earnings to the Flexible earnings card, BUT you can NOT get for cash back, only for use in purchasing new car/truck.

I don't think I'll be transferring anything to the Flexible card, I'll just keep what I've got. 1% on the dollar isn't much anyway.

You can only use your supplier discount and Earnings if you have the GM Extended Family Card. I work for the ad agency that has the GM Card as our client. I just ordered a IBM 2SS on January 4th and plan on using my supplier discount....I also just signed up for the Extended Family Card in hopes that when I finally get my car I have at least something in Earnings to use.....one other thing that is good to know is ocassionally they will send out a mailer that tops off your Earnings to $1000 or $2000, depending on the promotion....I'm hoping that if I can somehow get a few hundred dollars in earnings I will get a Top-Off promotion in the mail before I actually take delivery of my car.

What card do you have!? I have a GM Silver Family and caps out at $1000 per website. I have over $8000 of eligible credits.

you can use a GM extended family card with GMS or Supplier pricing. I just sold a new Camaro regular pricing and the customer got to use the top off amount that is going on at this time, he got $2037.00

I forgot to use my earnings when I bought my car in October so when I rememberd I called the dealer and they said it was too late. So the dealer sent me a check from them and they collected the earnings from HSBC. I still have the $983 check to this day, I am just debating what mod I want to do 1st. I have to cash it by Feb 7 or my 90 days will be up.

I was able to use $1,000 of my earnings toward my camaro. I got mine last July and that was the max allowed from them.
