Yeah especially running from them in a desert landscape like that, there's NOWHERE to hide lol. here in VA you might be able to find a little forest or something to sneak into and lay low, but over there in the southwest...no chance.

You are correct, shut down stolen vehicle cases only. Onstar is worried about liability if a crash occurs after a shutdown so they are real careful about doing one.
Maybe the cops should start carrying spark plug insulators.
