Got my SW controls and PDIM installed all I've gotta do now is take it to the dealership.. Wish me luck that I dont get ripped off as I'm sure Solomon Chevrolet in Dothan, AL has yet to do this...

i had the stealer install it. $150 out the door. he coulda hit me for 2hrs labor but only charged about 1 1/4 plus $50 for the upload.

i did. he quoted two hours labor and that's what it took. but, he only hit me for a little over one hr. it was my first service there and i guess he wanted me as a steady customer. i think it worked.

I'm at the dealership now and they're saying that techline might not approve them to update my bcm... Has anybody else had this issue??

First time I've heard it as well. My dealership did it with no questions or issues. Though they had no previous experience in the area, I came armed with the info they needed to look up what I needed them to do and I was in and out within 15Min's.

Alright I now have SW controls and pdim!! Cost $135 to get it all programmed. I guess that's not too bad.

if you're talkin installed and programmed, it's a good deal. if it's just the program it should cost $50.

Why only $50?? GM charges the dealer $50 just for the VCI# to be able to do the program. The tech is going to want to be paid for his time also. The min. charge will probably be 1 hr labor time on top of the $50 GM charge.

as i stated before...i got the thing installed AND programed for $150...figure it out.

i told the service guy they would charge the dealer $50 and he said no problem, that's what they'd charge me.

Well then thats a good deal you got then . But most dealers will charge a min of 1 hr to program a module and the $50. So that could be around $150 just to program.
