$10,000 doesn't justify a better sound. At least not to me anyway. I'm sure others out there would agree. Hell, for $1400 I can upgrade the exhaust (add a few hp) and make it have a GREAT sound. That still leaves $8,000+ to do as I please.

I am with you on the fact that it sounds great. But does it justify the price? I guess that's up for personal interpretation.

My brother bought a 2LT and loved it....at first. I told him to get the 2SS cause of the LS3. After I bought mine (2SS) and started talking aobut it, he went and test drove an SS. Now he's in the market for one. I'd get the SS because of the overall performance (brakes, suspension, and V8) it's totally worth it.

The SS would be sweet for a 19 yr old but if you buy the v6 you got plenty of time to upgrade later. It all comes down to your finances. For me I didnt want to pay for the 2SS when they 1st came out, but thats what I wanted so now I found a used one in my price range & I'm picking it up tomorrow

I got a V6 and jusy added an SS bumper on it about 2 months after having it. I had the same issue. I'm 21 and the V6 RS was a better looking and more affordable package. I just really liked the SS bumper so I had a body shop swap it. Since then I lowered it a bit and threw a few extra mods on and it turns more heads than an SS does here on campus.

Anyone driving anything less than a 2SS RS is driving a toilet, and needs to hang their head in shame all the way back to the trailer park. I can't believe GM have the nerve sell such a weedy little 6 cylinder. What is the world coming to?

If you get the v6, once the novelty wears off, youll regret not waiting a bit longer and going for the 2SS.

It's a muscle car(pony car, whatever), you need the v8!

Yeah, I saw that right away....way to go, people just take themselves to seriously sometimes. Personally, I got the 1LT. It is just the perfect model for my driving and budget requirements. But if you can afford and want the 2SS then by all means go for it.

I have never heard a V-8 owner say that he wished that he had bought the 6. Usually it is the 6 owners with the regrets.

I would think the 12k price difference is enough.
