Would Like People's Opinions On Stripes - Page 5 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a 2SS RJT with white rally stripes and just love the "sporty" look. When I ordered my car back in October 08, I mistakenly thought the stripe package would be in the trunk and I could decide after delivery and have the dealer install. Well much later into the process I learned that the stripe package I selected was one of two factory installed options and it was too late to turn the clock backwards. Now I wouldn't have it any other way.

What is important is what you want and what makes you feel good. I think either way is fine.

The Camaro looks great in any color with and without stripes. I have not seen a bad color or stripe combo in my opinion. I was a teenager in the late 70’s and early 80’s so I’m partial to stripes or graphics on muscle cars ONLY! Someone said they think stripes are over done however in the large scheme of things very few cars have stripes today or in the last couple of decades so I love seeing these cars with stripes.

Your car looks great without them but if you ever get bored with it put white rally stripes on it. White with that color would look frikin awesome.

BTW I saw Camaro that color go down the road the other day and loved it and that color would be my second choice after mine. If I buy the convertible some day and hopefully keep my existing SS I would probably order the convertible in that color with an automatic. It would look cool with a white top and white leather interior and maybe even white wheels.

Not a big fan of stripes but black stripes on that color would really make it look even better or even silver. The white are nice too but kind of over rated I think. I have a CGM and am debating the same issue as you. But I will have 30 days to claim my stripes from the dealership.

It depends on the color set up. I am going to go with IBM with CGM Ralleys. I have seen White Rallys on the IBM and those are nice, but I've seen the Hockey / Hood stripes in white on the IBM and

It clashes too much.

RJ is growing on me (still wouldnt be a color that I order though). I 've seen pics of Silver and Black Rally's and think those look really classy. The photos above with the Hockey/Hood with CGM look really good, but would rank that color as #3 on my list for this color

1 SIM Rally
2 Back Rally
3 CGM Rally

It really comes down to personal preference. The color looks great by itself, but if you were to do things like adding the GFX kit or a spoiler, I'd add Rally's, but if not, your good to go either way.

Just my $.02 (but in my opinion, those $.02 are extremely valueable

I have seen a CGM running around town with SIM Rally's and it looks extremely good. Black Rally's will look good on your CGM but will be harder to see at night or during rain storms because of how dark they are. Personally, I like that part, having the car behave like a kamelion (spelling).

Stripes look good, but I also think Camaros without them look just as good. So I wouldn't spend the extra for the stripes.

Can anyone explain what 'ghost stripes' are? I ordered RJT as well, and haven't decided if or what color I'm going to stripe it. Thanks guys.

I believe they are stripes that are either very light or that they fade from dark to light.

I just ordered one with Gray Hockey Stripes. Do you have anymore pictures? Yours is the only one I have found on this site with gray hockey stripes.

Looks great. Wished I did not have to wait. Are those bugs on the front?
