So I went to have fun and customize the convertible on chevy.com. I went through all the options until I came to the ground effects package.. When I selected it, I scrolled up and the picture of the Camaro showed the ground effects painted to match the car.. WHAT!!!!????

I hope this isn't a glitch and GM finally realized no one likes that stupid gray color on their car and they want the ground effects to match the rest of their car. If this comes true then I will be ordering my ground effects soon!!

i also noticed that there was not an option for the matte black stripes....especially on the black car......I was pi$$ed!

Now thats not good, but painted to match ground effects? Man that makes me so happy! I am calling my dealership asap!

I like the stock color of my gfx

Either way, I think it's pretty cool they come to match the color of the car.

All 2011's can be order with painted GFX's.

I wonder if that option would be available if you just bought the GFX straight from GM.

When I purchased my car last December, I was promptly told painting my ground FX would void their warranty but now that it is an actual option, I'm curious if that is a non-issue now....

Yes you can order the GFX to match the car. You just have to pay for it. Installation too.

Yeah. Same here. At first I was dissabppointed with the stock colour. But, now I'm used to it on my black SS. Not sure if I'd be so thrilled if the vehcile was any other colour and I had grey GFX.

when did that start? In september they had to be painted at extra cost by the dealer.

The install is part of the 2,365 but not painting.... at least that is how it was when I placed my order September 7th.
