Did your car come with any paint defects? Lets find the commonality.

Bruce_Lee That is a know issue with the paint chipping under the spoiler. do a search for the post in the forums,many ppl have had the problem. dropped my car off today they are going to repaint my hole deck lid. they werent going to try and just touch up the bad spots. if you have to just demand that they repaint the hole deck lid.

The only thing i wasn't happy about is my car still has a chunk of masking tape underneath
the car below the drivers door with yellow paint all over it. I'm sure it will start to peel if i
take it off.

I have chips under the spoiler also.

On my hood it appears they wet sanded off a scratch and buffed it which left a small warp in the finish almost like a dent.

Car was manufactured in June 2010... bought in November. Orange peel, whole body... might not be considered a defect, but I don't like it on my black 2LT... will get a whole body repaint early next year with custom black with red flake.

2011 Orange RS built in Aug 10. Trunk lid paint pops/flaking on either end of the spoiler and under the spoiler right down to the primer. Case of orange peel. Otherwise, love the car.

doors are brighet on both sides. i repainted and it came out better then factory.

i only painted drivers side tho, where damage was'. should of done whole car but overall its super fresh IOM now. shes going to stay that way

Dirt in paint, passenger front quarter panel is duller in color than the rest of the car.

And the best body shop in town said they could not promise to really make it much better than it is. I said screw it and some day I will take and have the entire car repainted by a highend shop. With my luck I would get it fixed and someone would hit it anyway so I will just wait till it gets hit.

tiny piece of dirt under paint on driver's door. i'm polishing it this weekend and will give it the once over for any other defects.

... for the folks that have had the spoiler / chipping issue, you may want to check out this thread... post #296 actually contains the TSB. There is now a factory fix for the issue...

2010 SIM -- I have a run, drip in the clear coat on my driver side QP in the crease that's on the hip just behind the driver door window... My detalier pointed it out !

Did you dust the car off by any chance with a rag or apply spray detalier with first dusting her off cause it will do exactly that... Sounds like you just need a lil clay bar-ing done to take care of that... A good detail sound do the trick...
