Rough Idle issues - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok so I have a v6 manual and a little over a week ago my car had a few problems. My car started to have a lot of hesitation and a really rough idle.
The dealer had the car for almost a week and took 2 1/2 days to find the problem. It ended up being bad injectors 3 & 5. they also replaced a gasket, pipe, and tube. just not sure what those last ones went to.

Now I baby my car its a daily driver with 15k on it but I keep it off the lot clean.
They said it was most likely just them being bad but they said they really couldn't tell. Thats one nice thing about putting the miles on I get to find some of this stuff out before the warranty is up.

I just wanted to share since when it happened the first thing I did was hop on here to see if anyone else had a similar issue and I didn't find anyone. So if anyone has this happen maybe my post will save your dealer some of the diagnostic time that mine had to go through.

Never heard of this yet, is it possible you got bad gas?

I thought of that and they said it is possible but since I always get my gas from the same location they said that cuts that risk down a little. Basically they said there really is no way of knowing unless it happens again

I have about 11K miles on mine. This morning it rough idled and then the CEL came on. Turned the car off, restarted ran smooth but now CEL is always on. Drove to work about 30 miles without any problem, guess it's off to the dealership sometime next week to find out what's going on. This problem happened once before at 2K miles, but I shut the car off immediately and resarted without the CEL coming on.

I'm not sure if it's related. I bought me car last april ( 11,500 Km) after the car being stored from october to march. I had the same problem with the idle the next day I bought the car. Dealer replaced a few injectors and a few other things. All they could say is that the car was'nt strored with Stabil or the equivalent and some varnish jammed the 2 injectors.

No problems since.
