Thanks for the Heads up...Lets hope that GM will have their priorities right and to put the clubs ahead of the others IMO...

Hotel room booked.

This will be my first Camaro event that I've been able to participate in. I know what's involved in organizing a small car club BBQ, I can't imagine what it's like on a scale of this size. My thanks goes out in advance to everyone who is working so hard to put this together.

I'm going on the 2011 Hot Rod Power Tour, which is ending in Detroit that Saturday, but since will be close, I'm thinking of peeling off from that group and running up for this event. Please add me to the list, hotel booked.

I agree, and I hope that GM considers clubs (actual CAMARO drivers ) before anyone else.

If the invite from GM will include the local Oshawanians ( is that a word ), it will greatly reduce the chance of ALL of us Camaro guys/gals to take the tour.

GM has a VERY difficult job ahead of them with respect to tour participant prioritization. I would not want that job! What also isn't clear right now is if the tour is being put on by the plant as an open house to all GM customers or is it strictly for camaro people.

If it is strictly for camaro people then obviously, the plant should commit to an additional open house to allow "the rest" of GM fans to come out and tour the plant as was the intention set forth by Diana Tremblay, Vice-president of manufacturing.

We easily forget that there were plenty of enthusiast vehicles built in Oshawa over the years including the Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS and over 50 years of building GMC and Chevrolet trucks. They all deserve as much access to the plant as we do.

Obviously the best scenario is that 3,000 people or less will want to tour the plant on that Friday. What I do know is that everything will be completely thought through by GM before they come forward with how the tour will work. Please do not assume anything before we hear the details which we can expect about 4 weeks from now.

Rickey , I don't have a brother. It was a figure of speach. So just me it looks like. I will be flying in from california. If you know of anyone else coming from the san francisco bay area let me know I would love to chat with them about the upcoming trip. I want to see if I can get in on the plant tour before I buy airline tickets. but im in can't wait. I will order my camaro this coming year!

I guess we'll just sit back and see what GM decides to do... Should be interesting to see how they proceed

<----- not worried. I was all in BEFORE the tour was announced. It will be a grand time either way. That does NOT mean I will give up my spot if I get to tour...

Hey Guys,

I have spoke with Canadian Camaro (Scott) and told him that our fellow Camaro5 brothers & sisters can count on CCFBG's support for this event again this year.
I could not make it last year due to personal issues but plan to be there this year.

Mark

There will definetly lots of :flag2: while we watch the G rated color video but it would be nice to get a authentic plant tour since for some of us, it will be our third try!

PS I now have 4 camaros on hand...79 Berlinetta,81Z,89Iroc,10SSRS
