NO! It's a muscle car!! Go buy a Subaru. Who thinks of these things, next thing "would you want your car to take you everywhere without you being behind the wheel? Better yet feed you? Tuck you in at night? Give me a break!

awd would add alot of weight, so for a performance muscle car I wouldn't want that, if you want AWD there are options out there, keep the camaro as god intended :o)

Just realized this thread date. Darn lol

Yes please, I wish mine did all of those things.

Edit: When you saw that is ended up being faster than your 2WD and handled better, I bet you would change your tune.

Of course we would need a lot more power to make use of all this new found traction.

Thank you for suggesting that the options be limited for the majority of people who buy these cars in order to satisfy the wistful thinking of the hardcore purists. Let us know when you tear out the stability control, cruise control, digital radio, OnStar, six-speed transmission, collapsible steering column, airbags, center brake light, and all those other darned nanny-state technologies they didn't have back in the "good old days." Don't forget to add the side-vent windows, either.

I see no reason why this can't be at least a seperate trim package. It's certainly not the first car to do that. For average owners who don't buy the car primarily for the track who maybe have this car as their daily driver and can't afford a second one for bad weather, AWD could be a big help - driving home this afternoon in this storm making its way up the I-95 corridor, I could have definitely used it in a couple spots. If you don't want the AWD, then DON'T BUY IT! You could get the standard RWD instead, it's not that hard.

yeah thats why all drag cars, funny cars, formula 1, NASCAR, sprint, the list goes on, all are AWD right? duh! Still I ask if it didn't have AWD and thats what you want why did you buy it? Or did the sales man lie to you and tell you that GM would "up grade it later".

And it should have the 3 cylinder GEO motor as the "gutless" option too.

as much as I'd like AWD I think it goes against everything the Camaro is about. voted for it, but I know they won't add it.
