One of my rear speakers blown..

I have the B A sound option and just 2 drives before putting the car away for the winter one of the rear speakers,(pass side to be specific) is blown...anyone else have this problem?

NOT impressed with the sound system whatsoever, the BOSE in my '03 Siverado SS was much better.....

I didn't expect it to be as good as an aftermarket setup, but it is rather crappy in all honesty. Oh yea, and the speakers rattle horribly!

I have ranted multiple times about this subject, they're cheap paper made in china junk crap, and the amp and stereo is NOT BA, only the speakers, this was told to me by a BA rep, suck it up and buy some real BA speakers that are not paper and they will last longer and sound better!

If you are putting the car away for the winter, this gives you time to research and upgrade. Check out ********'s webpage. He has some adapters coming out for the rear 6x9's as well as some for the fronts. This coupled with the upcoming harness release should get those speakers out of there.

You will need to research how to remore the rear seat and panels to get to the speakers but its not a bad job just time consuming.

Cheers

mine blew as well but actually check out the speaker in the trunk and make sure its not the rattle of the panel which makes it sound terrible

I noticed the panel rattling before, but its definitely the speaker now. I think my plan is to get it replaced under warranty and save for a whole new set up... might be costly but I'll have what i want in the end. Gonna check out ********'s page in the meanwhile

My left side and rear just blew out also. Not exactly sure what I'm going to do as a replacement.
