Yup, On-Star is retained through the Metra kit. Nothing else is needed. but why even care? I know I did at first, I wanted On-Star to still work but I never used it since Metra and I won't be renewing once my free year is up. But it works if I wanted it to.

Actually I am wondering. Has anyone noticed that the AM bands are pretty much useless with the Metra kit installed? I have the Kenwood DNX9660 and AM pretty much doesn't come in. Like maybe 1 station kind of comes in. I really don't listen to the radio much, but when I do it pretty much is just for AM talk. I had this issue in a previous car when I used an after market deck, AM pretty much didn't work. The antenna is plugged in and using the correct cable(s).
