The Impala is a solid car, but for a young girl I would skip that and go with the Malibu or Aura. If she is leaning more towards a truck/SUV there are great options out there. I would tell her to go test drive a few... BTW I have driven all of the above over the last 12-18 months, and am a bit biased towards the Malibu (one of my husbands' prior assignments!) Good Luck! Car shopping can be very stressful...but rewarding in the end!
thanks Heather,
wow.. direct convo with HeatherR.... unbelievable.
I am sending her your repsonse intact... 1 car girl to another. Thanks!

ooooo that would piss me off,
if she got a V6 camaro, chances are she would be able to pick it up at a lot before my V8 is delivered. And I ordered months ago!

But it would be badass to have my sis in a camaro, but she needs a car in a couple weeks, plus goes back to the RWD issue.

actually... hmm, let me talk to her.

I just went through a wide range of emotions... and i love it.

I felt the same way after my '97 Grand Am. I hated that car when I had to drive/repair it, but once I loaned (and eventually sold) it to my aunt I saw that it really redeemed itself -- lots of trouble-free miles.

My boss has a 2008 G6 and I'm reasonably impressed with it.

No! No! Disregard the flailing boobs - 2010 SS is from California. It's automatic with him because that's what he sees all day. As per forum rules, must post picture of cute blonde sister to prove first post is authentic.

Agreed. I think for all of those who posted worthwhile suggestions, we deserve to know who we're dealing with. And now that Scotty is home from work, you can post those pics

Haha. Alright, only cause we're all friends. I am making my normal Thursday commute from DC to Austin. Currently sipping some whiskey in 1st class, but when I get back to my place I will find one she'd be proud of.

Hold tight.
