Can anyone who have done a predator or trinity tune tell me if they had problems passing emissions inspection.

If your car is stock and your only mod is the Predator tune you should be fine.

per the letter of the law (at least in california) a custom tune is illegal.... is it detectable? No

Maybe not by an inspection station but there are arguments that the dealer can see a check-sum change.... Thoughts?

In California you need to in-port you stock tune and then drive 100 miles. With the new dyno smog test they can tell your computer has been flashed.
